Kish creek is on the other side of those two bridges, It’s closer to the train bridge. They also have a grave stone there for where Arthur Buchanan’s cabin was once located

History isn't always pleasant but it needs to be remembered as it was, not one-sided or sugar coated. I'm glad you tell the stories as they are documented. Atrocities were committed by all sides unfortunately.

Hi Cliff, I totally agree with you in that you have to see things from both sides, sadly a lot of people even today choose violence over diplomacy. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤

Kishacohquillas Creek was in the opposite direction directly past the railroad bridge. My Sister and I walk down there every day, sorry we missed you! Yes,artifacts have been found down there in the past.Net weights being the most prevalent right along the river.Im going to side with the Native American's,we did them a thousand injustices...

These videos are awesome! Just a thought- Ever invite a friend over who takes it on themselves to invite their friend? Someone you don’t like. Now they invite 5 of their friends who you don’t know. I can see why violence occurred. And truthfully violence does solve problems unfortunately. War proves this.

I went for a walk there this summer. My sister lives 5 minutes from there. You were really close to the Sand Mine I was telling you about. I grew up close to Lewistown and never knew that history. Thanks for sharing the video.

Hey Cliff, thanks for the hike and education. That mural was cool , looked like it covered ww1 up to Desert Storm in Iraq. I never met that many native American's but those I did meet were all Chiefs or so they said. Keep up the good work on history and tell it like it was not how we would all like it to be. Am I a little biased, can't say as far as the French and Indian wars, still learning about it from you. Our revolutionary war, yeah I'm anti British and Pro French/Patriots. Civil war, I like the North but even those I know there was hate and atrocities on both sides.

Are you going to heaven or hell after you die? Having an interest in a war of times past will do nothing for you on the day you stand in front of God for judgment.

I wish when I saw in school ( graduated in the 80's), that they would have taught the local history of our area. Born and raised in eastern Pa along the Lehigh River ( Allentown area), there were a lot of history that needs to be taught. These type of videos unfortunately are the only way to learn the local history.

@@latinagal That is great. I really hope to visit the site one day even though I'm told that only a marker telling the history is there to see now. Still it would be good to stand where so much of my family's history took place.

I can side with Capt. Jacobs up to the point of deciding to kill people. That's obviously the wrong solution. The correct solution, looking back, would be to make friends with the right people in government and lobby hard for no more settlers in that area. Failing that, just move farther west where it was settler free. You have to learn how to communicate to people in such a way as to influence them. That's also a lesson in life. If one can learn to communicate & influence others, that's a big step up from the average person.
