The reason silverchair (and other bands) was only a fad is because it was different. Only had rock elements in it. Great as a new thing but can be over listened to!! that's a very accurate description of how they portray themselves. personally i think they may be aware of their talent but they've worked so hard and sacrificed a lot to have that level of talent so they know they're not just born that good and don't let compliments go to their heads as it does with a lot of famous mainstream artists with half the talent and work ethic that have sold out instead of choosing the road less traveled like The Warning has. and of course mom & dad also made sure they're well grounded and humble
