As soon as I saw we got someone who has 3 years of eligibility left I thought Walker was gone. I'm not saying that was the reason he left, It is just the thought I had when it happened.

I think it’s as simple as what we the fans felt all year, frustration with Freeze’s seemingly unending commitment to Payton Thorne starting. It took an absolutely abysmal full-game performance to get him benched, and only one half to spook Freeze into placing his comfort blanket back in there. Imagine being a competitive guy and watching that unfold in front of your face. The great irony, in my opinion, is that if he was so concerned about about salvaging this season, why would he go back to the guy that placed you in the precarious position in the first place. No one would have blamed him for just going to the next guy up, and not reverting back to Thorne, and wouldn’t be questioning turning over the entire QB room if they went out and proved what he was worried about: that there was not one QB in that room better than PT. Instead, because he wouldn’t give anyone else a legit shot, there will always be speculation about lost potential.
