well it's Tyrions fault for prioritizing his family over her, she lost faith in him because he did nothing but fail her ever since she came to Westeros. He loses faith in her after finding out about Jon only because he knew she wanted to go after Cersei and he never wanted that and he probably felt like Jon being the kinder one would give Cersei a chance to live but knew Daenerys wouldn't once she killed Missandei. That's why he was hoping Varys poison would work, after all he waited days to turn Varys in, he only turned him in to save his own ass so that it gave him a chance to save his family.

@@davidoreilly1899 partially to evade prison on the part of bran. I think way back when in the first season. He and bran had a comparable attributes. Both were considered "limited" compared to the " normal" modern characters. Tyrion was considered an outcast and inferior cause he was a dwarf. Bran was deemed different cause he was first considered a cripple then that he had special mental abilities. Both would be considered freaks. The difference between tyrion and bran would end at the fact that bran was loved by his father Eddard "Ned" Stark whereas Tyrion's father Tywin Lannister despised his son only sparing him initially cause he was a lineage to his house until the suspicion of the murder of his grandson. Though he knew he didn't do it. I think cause of the before similar abnormalities of tyrion and bran. Than bran would show favor to tyrion.

Lena Headey was just fantastic the entire series, even as the script got worse she was never boring. So many villains are cartoonish but Cersei never felt that way. The viewer could always understand her motives as sinister as they were. She was complex, Tyrion was right she loved her family, she loved Jaime but underneath all that was a person in a lot of pain who couldn’t escape her own pride and narcissism.

@@phillytheflyerable Nah, mentioning her kids was a great move as it sent her into emotional turmoil and it would make her more vulnerable to suggestion. Reminding her that of her children that died played on her fear of losing current child was one of the best moves Tyrion could have made. There is no other possible leverage over Cersei if she is in her normal emotional state as she is narcissistic so cold reason wouldn't sway her as she would think she will win. You can even think about scence with Ollena in which she tries to conspire despite she pretty much lost all of allies and yet she still thought she will oust Sparrow. Of course she was lucky enough to get her hands on wildfire and win but at the time she was still conspiring thinking she was going to win despite her powerlessness in the position that was quickly pointed out. Tyrion failed that's but maybe because there was nothing that Tyrion could have said that would made Cersei surrender.

That on top of losing Jorah, losing both of her dragons which are essentially her children, lost her claim to the throne after Jon’s identity and as leaked, and that’s just what happened in the last 2 seasons so it’s no surprise that she snapped. People have this misunderstanding of what going mad is, you’re either born with it or you aren’t and if she was born with it then she would’ve shown actual signs of going mad, this was just her being pushed to far. missandei was the symbol of daenerys innocence, altruism and her good natured sense of justice, she freed the slaves because she knew slavery is wrong. grey worm was a symbol of her more temperamental, warfaring side and her blunt and sometimes cruel sense of justice. she freed the unsullied so they would serve as her army. daenerys story both in the books and show is a battle between her wanting for peace, home and a family or becoming a violent conqueror who will claim her right to the throne. cersei killing missandei was her biggest mistake as missandei served as dany voice of reason, shes only now left with her more vicious side.

I think the biggest issue here that most people don't realize is that Missandei is a little girl in the books. I don't even think she's a teenager. So if Martin gave the writers this ending, I think it would set Dany off even more. Dany freed this little slave and they chop her head off? I still think Martin will mix in actions by the population of King's Landing that makes Dany take it out on them too.

I think they were actually always building up to it, they just didn't do a very good job. She gave no mercy to the masters when she should have. She killed men who spoke out against killing the 163 slave children. That's just one example and there are quite a few. Most just didn't want to see it because they were too busy fangirling over her to see the faults in her actions. I never liked her so I saw it from the beginning. They could have done a bit better job of it though.

Why not take him out then when they definitely had a good chance of doing so? It was a grave mistake on Cersei's part. She should've had one harpoon shot into Drogon while they were talking and when Khaleesi turns to react to it, they fire another one into her. You can tell this scene was written by writers and not Martin. Once they ran out of his material to work from, they basically just tried to shrink everything down and keep putting the same characters in all the scenes rather than introducing anyone new or look at things from a bigger scale. This scene in particular really makes zero sense, that the sacking of a city would be halted or this meeting would even take place over a counselor of low to medium importance is not something Martin would’ve written. Tyrion pleading with Cersei is the last thing he would do.

Mindblowing how no one realised she was going burn kings landing down. "Oh but how did she go mad?" It's in her genes and I always had an uneasy feeling about her.

This death I think drove Dany over the edge and was also the driving force of her burning it all down

3.36 is acting perfection. Just look at how stiff and riddled with conflicting emotions her body is in those few powerful seconds in which she turns and walks away. Wonderful talent.

Also Tyrion already knew that she signed her own death certificate at that very moment.

Lena Headey was just mezmerising in this otherwise disappointing season... especially in saying so little, just the expressiveness of her face. She is an Oscar-worthy actress. So much restrained rage, paranoia, delusion and pain. She's brilliant as Cersei.

Someone mentioned they robbed her. The actress wanted Cersei to go down hard. It could have been an epic moment for her acting career.

She was fantastic the entire series. She wasn’t cartoonish like some villains, one could understand her motives as sinister as they were. You could always feel her wrath and even in moments, her vulnerability with her children. The viewer could hate Cersei for what she did, justifiably so but she was never boring. Lena Heady carried this series in a lot of ways with her portrayal.

Emilia is such an amazing actress. If you don't think so, look at her face at 3:31 then go back 10 secs. The drastic change is eerie yet not so noticeable while just watching normally.

Game of Thrones displayed the most skill in having people hear others softly speak from great distances. Everybody had super hearing. And of course night vision.

Watching this again in 2022. Losing Missandei was the last straw. Dany's last link with her humanity was gone. This death broke her and shoved her over the edge.
