Really good explanation of the globe knot. I have struggled with this knot I may actually try again using this video. Thanks Tim!!

I enjoy following your tutorials. Suggestion: After the first pass of your micro-cord through the Globe Knot, carry the same micro-cord to the right side and follow the Globe Knot paracord on the right side without cutting the micro-cord. After following through the Globe Knot on the second pass of the micro-cord, having left a few inches at the beginning of the micro-cord and with the tail of the micro-cord, finish with a few Cobra Knots around the two ends of the paracord exiting the Globe Knot. Making a nice finish. Just a thought.

Nice tutorial. If you are going to make it: use 150cm microcord otherwise you will get short.

Thank you for the tutorial video. I just started making bracelets, dog collars, and necklaces out of paracord using square and spiral knots. I finished them off by dousing the cord ends with Gorilla Glue and essentially laminating the cord ends and hoping that the glue will petrify and hold the cords from untangling. I noticed that you melted the ends and did not use glue. Does your method of melting the ends hold strong for long-term durability? I've had glue wear off and allow a couple bracelets to unravel. I'm very new to the world of knotting paracord.

Using heat to melt and fuse paracord is the most popular method. I have also used CA Glue often. I like the way CA glue looks vs melting, but they both have their place.

What size marble are you using ? I have some 3/8” ball bearings but they appear to be too small. Thank you
@DevaKala-g6z11 ай бұрын
I guess is at least 5/8 I've got 1/2 marbels and they are small too for that size of globe knot.

do you know a method for doing the globe knot with a single working end? I put monkey fists on the end of my hoodie's draw strings but i was thinking of doing some with a globe knot. i think i can figure it out if i try long enough but if you already have a video that would be great. in case you're interested in exactly what i do...i make a monkey fist in a real long cord. run the long excess through the hood then do the other fist after words. adjust the length to what i like in between but also to leave each fist with enough of a working end to do a several more basic knots like stacked up individual snake knots or a staircase back up the cord kind of like a zipper pull...

hey if you were to make this with black paracord, what micro-cord color would you accent it with?
@TheWeaversofEternity6 жыл бұрын
I think any contrasting color would look nice. I think I would be partial to grey or white on a black paracord globe knot.

Would I be correct in assuming that the micro paracord isn't necessary? In your description, it says you're adding stitching to the globe to take it to the next level, so to me it sounds like it's just there for accent. Where does one even get micro paracord anyway? I've kinda been in and out of making just a few watchbands and bracelets over the last few years, and up until a few days ago I had never even heard of it.
