Same, really excited about gears ⚙️ 🍻🍻

You're so patient! I can't even attempt to video tedious work like that, it takes all of my patience just to do the work. The MJ still needs gears in a bad way, but i'm having a real tough tome committing to it.

definitely takes up a lot of your time, but totally worth the feeling of doing it yourself. Unfortunately the channel seems to have recently taken a big hit for doing this. Haven’t been able to camp much and upload regularly on Sundays because my hands have been tied up. At this point I just can’t justify paying someone to do it yet as it’s not work someone would do at an affordable price.

Badass!!! You've found one more subscriber in what I believe will be a long list very soon.

Dude that looks awesome. I don't know if I personally would do all that for D30 rather than a swap but it does look great well done.

Thank you 🙏 looking back not as bad of work as I originally thought. I could have probably spent a lot more time to honest. Up till now I have less than 400 dollars into this axle.

@ATEMOFFROAD That's awesome. Lmao I'm glad I don't count hours.

@@BTBLive haha I definitely have more time in the making and editing of this video than actually working on this axle. Crazy to think 🤔It’s a lot of fun anyway, lol

Looking good! I'd like to see the regear video, the Comanche is long overdue

Thank you 🙏 yeah I’m actually excited for this part. tj has about 160k on the original axles so its about time for an overhaul. 🍻🍻

Nice series. I, for one, would like to see set up bearing process. More detail the better in my view. If people don't want to see that they can skip forward.

Cool , this one might be pretty long so I’ll make up a menu to skip through, thanks for watching 🍻🍻

Hey Dustin, great video , thanks for posting! Quick procedural question. You didn't weld the inside of some of your welds, specifically the "C" reinforcements. Any particular reason for that? Keep the great videos coming!
@ATEMOFFROAD7 ай бұрын
Thank you 🙏🍻 and yes I did only weld one side and the ends inward, I know I could have done more welds on the inside, but at the time I didn’t want to much heat to warp the C and I also felt like the one continuous weld was enough heat and penetration. I had my welder maxed out for those welds and only on one side I had to stop and start back up a few times to reposition myself. 🍻🍻

It has 4.56 Yukon gears, upgraded axle shafts and a curry diff cover that’s solid. I put a curry 60 on the back of mine and I’m tired of tripping over the old one. No parking breaks. I used those on my new axle.
@ATEMOFFROAD7 ай бұрын
@@mikemorris7776 nice 👍🏼 I’ve been considering the curry axles for another build, reasonably priced compared to some diy builds I’ve seen.

Looking for your opinion- is there any point in doing this to a low pinion Dana-30 or if I’m going to do it, should I do it right and find a high pinion?
@ATEMOFFROAD22 күн бұрын
@@cam-vb8cu the high pinion axle will offer more benefits over the low pinion absolutely 👍🏼 but if your jeep is built around a low center of gravity LCG design. 3” lift or less, I don’t see a problem with the LP as they are pretty strong. The HP solves so many problems if you do end up building a LP i suggest minimum crush sleeve eliminator for pinion setup during a regear.
