My cousine's daughters are 13 and almost 10 years old and they love mocktails. Last time I visited we mixed orange juice and mango nectar and finished with a little bit of grenadine syrup. Simple but delicious!

I think when I was 11 I mostly just wanted books, movies, drawing/writing supplies. I have never been into makeup and fashion etc. So fun that you always have different birthday themes every year, it must be fun to them to look back on. Love you guys.I was born in San Mateo in the Bay Area but have lived in Upstate NY since I was 5 1/2. At the end of June we are moving to Cali. Just my hubby and I as our two children are 29 and 25. And our daughter, son in law and grandbabies are in Washington state. He is a Submariner in the Navy.. I have family all up and down Cali. But we are thinking about Sacramento because it’s a little cheaper in some spots.. Have been a faithful fan for years. 🍕 Tweens have always been hard to shop for. Like you (jeff and melissa) weere saying, shes at that in between stage of her life. When i was entering the tween stage Lilo and Stitch had just come out and i was all into that plus i was into The Wizard of Oz as well. So people knew to get me something from one of those movies or to buy me clothes and books because those are the two things i asked for

I stopped growing when I was about 16. My brother, who is 2.5 years younger than me chose that year to grow about 20 cm ( 15-ish inches) and was taller than me, so people used to assume he was the eldest child, not me! Also, buying for tweens is hard! The 12 year old I used to nanny was very tricky to buy for. Still too young for makeup and nail varnish/polish, some craft kits were too babyish for her, some books were too mature… I ended up getting her some scented Papermate coloured pens, 2 age-appropriate books, a lip butter, lip scrub and lip oil in a pouch, a Lego flowers set ( the lotus 🪷 flowers) and some Liberty origami paper.
