Lebhafte und wunderschöne Interpretation dieses kompakten und perfekt komponierten Streichquartetts im spannenden Tempo und mit gut artikulierten doch perfekt synchronisierten Tönen aller Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt fantastisch. Die intime und perfekt balancierte Miteinanderwirkung zwischen den vier Virtuosen ist wahrlich bewundernswert. Schade, dass der unvergleichliche Komponist so jung gegangen war!

Genio incomprendido, que triste es que nadie haya podido hacer algo por salvarle y que en su tiempo figuras como Chávez lo hayan opacado tanto.. Pero el tiempo pone todo en su lugar y le devuelve a cada uno el sitio que merece en la memoria histórica. Hoy la música de Silvestre Revueltas es altamente valorada y a él se lo considera un compositor a nivel de genio, de los mejores del siglo XX. Es una tristeza que haya empezado a componer ya grande y que haya muerto tan jóven, pues su obra musical es relativamente corta debido al poco tiempo que duró componiendo. Un aplauso y reconocimiento hasta donde quiera que esté el maestro Revueltas tocando su violín y componiendo obras magníficas como esta.

Imo, Revueltas is a very important composer of the twentieth century. A splendid string quartet like this one is the mark of a great composer!

This is terrific stuff. Revueltas was a better composer when he wasn't trying to be so Mexican. This is music written for the ages, not for the masses.
