my maternal grandmother's tap water is way better tasting cuz it has more minerals, our tap has some of them filtered out so it tastes weird but it's fine for coffee

I’m definitely fortunate with where I live: in Scotland we have soft water and what comes out the tap is generally very good. I definitely notice a difference when visiting friends in England in hard water areas. The only time I’ve had unpleasant tap water in Scotland was in my student halls of residence which had ancient pipes that made the water slightly green and metallic but nothing boiling couldn’t fix for tea. I did buy a lot of bottled water back then or just fill bottles in the Student Union which was a newer building.

Smartwater is definitely one of the better ones, but for me, Skýra is hands-down the best bottled water I've ever had -- it's 7/11's version of "Icelandic" water. So clean and refreshing, no funky taste (I'm looking at you, Aquafina, you gross toilet water), just pure crisp water. Apparently it's nothing more than filtered tap water allegedly from Iceland, but even so, I'll take it over Poland Spring or Fiji any day.

I began to understand what a precious thing water is after I traveled as an adult to the U.S for the first time. I am born, raised and have lived my whole life here in Iceland and the water here is so good. Both the cold drinking water from the tab that comes from natural springs as well as the hot tap water that is not boild with chemicals in it like the water in publuc swimming pools, it is just natural hot water. I felt so dirty after a shower in Florida and I couldn't find a single brand of water that I found more than just barely drinkable.

Waters do taste different. When I was a kid we briefly lived very close to the Mississippi River and our tap water would come out rust red. Everyone said it was fine but looking back I don't think it was!

Genuinely, water has so many different tastes. My favorite water brand is pure life. It’s so light. I recently came back from America and comparing water from America vs Canada, it’s a huge difference. The tap water where I live is completely fine to drink and it’s actually pretty good. Bottled water tastes different but it depends where we live. I love trying/tasting different and new waters all the time...but even though I've come across Many, MANY waters that I like and also many I don't like...my favorite and always will be my favorite that you should for sure, ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, try is "Aqua Panna" it's an Italian water from Tuscany, it's semi expensive (for being a Water) but it's definitely worth it! I actually find myself trying to Save (not drink/not drink as quickly) the damn thing Everytime I get it. Lol
