I wonder how much money Ford saves by not providing uniforms. I'm surprised some of those employees aren't wearing flip flops.

There are cover-alls for paint and body. Some zones require long sleeves, the basic PPE for the plant is closed toed shoes and provided safety glasses with the correct gloves for the job being performed. Not trying to back the company, because fuck them, but thats just what we line workers have to deal with. I can say that the parking lot smells like a skunk farm and most of the management help "raise" them. Shit hasn't been the same since 2017 🤷‍♂️

That's the first thing I noticed lol. Looks like some of the employees also have their own hearing protection seeing how many people don't have it in this video

I hope they save a lot; Or do you want to pay the price that would be paid to Cintas (or another commercial uniform provider) added to the automobile’s purchase price when/if you buy a new car? Or perhaps you want to see the price of Ford Motor Company stock drop as a result of added costs? I guess that would not matter that it would hurt your 401k / investment portfolio (if you have one). 🧐

@@1Barsamian ; it has nothing to do with cost. What they spend in assembly for safety gear (including clothing) is paid for with union dues. They just choose not to spend a little extra money to not look like slobs. Added costs come from lawsuits, power and water expense increases, and part vendor pricing. The cost of a vehicle has very little to do with what it costs to assemble it. Worked in this industry for over 30 years and you would be amazed at how the manufacturer gets screwed by A: damage control from social media rants that can sway over 20% of potential customers, B: Parts vendors that build part a, but not part b or c and want 90% of the involved cost in kickback. I'm sure you don't care about this though. As for the clothing, People just don't care about how they look anymore. Im surprised there aren't people walking around in Walmart sleep pants.

It's amazing they don't show the management yelling at us when we try to catch repairs on the line. Saying for us to just ship it down the line, then get pissed because QLS is loaded full of Bull shit. Awesome job @Fordmotorcompany hope these comments reach you.

Odd. With all that history of supplies and assembly, Ford did not for one second think about keeping their supplies coming for chips. Do not believe it. Something does not add up for auto manufacturing and chips that we are not being told.

After watching what the new ceo has done with ford I’m done with the brand. The pricing is absolutely outrageous. Paid 39k for the highest trim 2019 f150 xlt 2.5 years ago. Same truck now costs around 65k.

Surprised that many assembly line workers here are dressed like they just rolled out of bed. No matter work environment, dress professionally... i.e. observe assembly line technicians in Asian and European auto plants.

So you show transit Facia, final, and cal line. But not motor, chassis assembly, or trim 1 2 or 3 line. And the BEV unit area is broke down again. I dont mind exploiting the plant I'm working at, they need to get their heads out of their a$$ at Claycomo
