If I were her trainer I’d have her focus 80% on lower body explosiveness and strength because that’s the only way she can take advantage of her height! Got to have good lateral movement, balance and stability then incorporate the vertical component!

My biggest advice would be to start eating in a major caloric surplus, mostly protein, so the weight lifting will produce as much muscle as possible. With that much growth it is tough to add enough weight and muscle to move a frame like that optimally. Weight training is great, but if the calories and protein aren’t high enough, there won’t be enough muscle/weight gain to produce optimal results.
@mashaaa000

I'm not trying to offend but It shows that you don't understand how to actually build strength and power as opposed to size. Muscle size does not directly correlate to strength. I'll simplify it but to get stronger you train your nerves in particular the golgi tendon organ and muscle spindles to allow you to lift more weight. Muscles in turn respond to the increase in weight and will follow suit to repair and strengthen the integrity of the muscles and tendons which will result in some muscle size increase.
@JT-gi8rx
@JT-gi8rx 24 күн бұрын
@@aarong8457 no offence taken, I am by no means an expert, and even if I was I would welcoming differing opinions. My main point is nutrition. You can do all the workouts in the world, but if you don’t eat enough protein, and get in a caloric surplus, you won’t be able to build muscle. You could condition your current muscle, but you wouldn’t be adding new muscle. What very tall and very thin athletes need is to eat in a protein rich caloric surplus, and then lift weights to add mass to the glutes, quads, hamstrings, shoulders, everything. It will equal greater performance.
@aarong8457
@aarong8457 24 күн бұрын
@JT-gi8rx that's what I'm telling you. Strength to weight ratio is golden in sports and in powerlifting. You can get stronger even if you're not eating a lot. My coach was the 1978 160lb powerlifting world champion and he benched 405 deadlifted 700 and squatted around 600. All of this without a bench shirt or squat suit. He was drug free. Your muscles have a limit to what your body will allow you to lift to prevent injuries. You are basically hijacking that to allow your body to let you lift more. The muscles will respond by repairing themselves to handle heavier loads to prevent tearing in the future. So diet will effect you and you do need to eat better but it's more to build your tendons and connective tissue within the muscle when it comes to power and speed. Bodybuilding is a whole other game.
