I actually prefer Limp Bizkit's cover. The beginning and the end of this song are haunting, like the message of a tormented soul. (Is that you, Tantalus?) But the middle sounds like a release of anger that does not blend with the rest of the song. Now, these are just my tastes. I do not demand, or even expect anyone to agree with me.

I love this video. It's like hearing someone with troubled mind reveal their diary entry to you, spilling out their emotions. The scratched lines of repeated texts make it feel like the writer's grasping for the right words and sentences that perfectly encapsulate what needs to be said while we're giving attention.

I purchased the Who's Next album when it came out and I was thrilled that every song on both sides were keepers. The Who became my favorite group when I heard Magic Bus, I still love that song and play it often. I only got to see them once in Concert and I loved every minute of it, it was at the Forum in Compton, Calif. way back when. I own every one of their Albums and every one if them is still in perfect condition because recorded the first play onto reel to reel tapes so I can can listen to them often without degrading the sound. I have a couple of their factory reel to reel tapes and even so I purchased the albums as well. Yes, you can call me a life long who fan and I'm proud of it.

No one bites back as hard On their anger None of my pain and woe Can show through (Then people will see behind his Mask what he’s spent his lifetime hiding from everyone) But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance that's never free Mm, mm When my fist clenches, crack it open (restrict him access to technology..) I had a "Who greatest hits" cd and I accidentally left it in a rental car. People turn things in to the lost and found all the time... I went back to get it from the lost and found drawer at the rental car company and it wasn't there, no one had turned it in! I guess someone else loved it as much as I did! I Iost one of the best cd's I ever had... 🥺

Well that's a damn shame. CDs are extraordinarily expensive after all, and best ofs of classic 60s and 70s bands aren't just clogging up shelves in every single store on the planet 😉

Thank you from a boy named Tommy. 51 now. Still a believer in what we all reached for. You all leading the way as older brothers should. Interesting, Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, and TheWho all just released new/remastered material in the last two hours. The Great Awakening is here, ...and I sit behind blue eyes.

And after years of searching the YT algo somehow dropped a song on me that makes me real world cry. There's a bunch of us that know what it feels like to be the sadman. I honestly don't think I know this song before 48hrs ago. but that melody is so stellar...

In my honest opinion, This was The Who’s equivalent to Led Zepplin’s “Stairway to Heaven” due to its similar structure and the use of quiet to loud dynamics throughout the song.

This song imo had so much potential to be legendary (already is tbf), but if it was longer it would definitely be held in the same regard as Stairway. Love Reign O'er Me on the other hand is potentially even better than Stairway to Heaven.
