Today I am breaking down tombe pas de bourrée! This is step that I have been working on this summer with my beginner students. I believe it is a great thing to practice this pattern at home to really help ingrain it in your body.
I remember when I was first starting ballet getting my feet all twisted around in this step. I would go home and pracitce all the different variations of pas de bourrée.
If you want more help with a basic pas de bourrée check out my video on that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmW2lp2Cea5naa8
Let me know if you have any questions or requests below, I'd love to hear from you.
If this was helpful to you please give it a like and subscribe to this channel for all things ballet and health! ↓

Oh my gosh thank you! I'm taking a dance class at school and we are learning a dance for our midterms that had this in it but in 4th position. My teacher went through everything really fast and I've never done this before so I was pretty confused. I only had to watch about a minute and a half to get what I needed.This helped SO much! It all makes more sense now! Thanks! -stressed high school student 😂

Your videos are so helpfull,I got one question, I am practising my splits ,with my left leg in front I am alm ost there,only 5cm perhaps,but the right leg really challenges me and I am not half so far as Iam on the other side. Is that normal.Any tips ? And even the last 5 cm Is a point where I hang now since at least 6 weeks.Please help me.
@TheWholePointe

Hey I don't know how I missed this comment! It is normal for one side to be more flexible. There are a lot of variables but I would recommend rolling out (massaging) the muscles in your thighs and hips/butt, PNF stretching and strengthening your core and lower back. Those 3 things make the biggest difference that I've seen in trying to get splits. Let me know how it goes!
