@JackClayton123 and people see what they want to see in them too. Dolores Cannon's books about the "conversations with Nostradamus" are quite interesting and worth looking into! Actually, Dolores' work would deserve an own episode on this channel. I am a sceptic myself but want to be open minded. I have read all three of her books about Nostradamus and some aspects were quite intruiging. While I was watching this episode, I looked up the quatrains (some of them do not exist as mentioned by AJ, some do partially) and how Nostradamus allegedly explained them to Dolores. Would love if Dolores could be addressed here on this channel at some point - especially since her hypnosis technique is also related to the videos about the gateway experience, the Kosyrev mirror and more.

I agree that Nostradamus' writing style, and I guess the inability to translate middle french to any other language with 100% accuracy (which I was unaware of), makes it hard to believe, completely, that he predicted events. But, even though his predictions only make sense after an event happens, its still kind of amazing that what he wrote fits so many historical events. Although an argument can be made that given enough time, any prediction will fit SOME historical event. Personally, I always have time for videos about Nostradamus, especially if it's a Why Files video.

Good video! Regarding the last part, I think there's another reason why apocalyptic predictions of every sort are popular, and why a lot of people really became obsessed with the whole Covid thing too. People like to feel like the era they're living in is important, world-defining, like they are living through IT. Through a historic moment, even if it's awfully bad. It's also why films like Armageddon or Independence Day are so incredibly successful; people live relatively dull lives and they need something to boost their adrenaline, a sort of real-life entertainment.

The way you expertly write these stories and end on a nice message to take away is just beautiful. Thank you for these videos!

Thank you for being honest and open it's more than I can say for others you have enlighten me and broaden my mind thank you so much

I appreciate the comment, Raymond! I love a mystery as much as anyone, but if we want to be *truly* amazed, we should be entitled to all the facts. Most stories about Nostradamus just want people to click so they can tell them about zombies.

Your honesty is admirable. Maybe get some help with punctuation, so others will be able to pick up what you're putting down, just an idea.

I used to watch a show called First Wave. The main character used the Nostradamus quatrains to hunt down and fight an invading extraterrestrial force. It was a really great show.

The line about the “steel birds” was attributed to him in the early 1980’s as a prediction about the future. It was even included in the movie The Man Who Saw Tomorrow. In the movie they interpreted it as two nuclear missiles hitting New York.
@melissamartinez3593 Жыл бұрын
So it’s old correct? He is saying that did not exist until after 9/11 but it’s incorrect , I remember reading the quatrains as a child and that part about the steel birds was very much present !
@COUNTS1096 Жыл бұрын
@@melissamartinez3593 yeah, he’s incorrect related to that. The movie I’m referring to is from the early 80’s; it’s called The Man Who Saw Tomorrow. You can watch the whole thing in multiple parts on KZbin.

This channel is the only reason I've turn back ON notifications for KZbin because I clicked that bell.

Awesome ending to the video! When you said, "when you strip away our labels, we're all just people" you hit today's social/ environment right on the head.

I truly love your channel, AJ. I subscribed a couple of weeks ago, although I had watched some episodes a few weeks before subbing (I thought I already had). Your videos are thoroughly entertaining and wonderfully produced. The balance of story and humor is perfectly timed. Sooo good. Oh yeah, Hecklefish is legendary - he’s the perfect sidekick… off the scale. See what I did there? All the best AJ. I’m here as long as you are. I hope she booms! Cheers!👊🏻🙂🍻

I've read Nostradamus' poetry (which is all it really is) and its literally a collection of descriptive phrases that can mean absolutely anything you want it to. I'd love to see the original "prophecies" you quote

At the end of every video I have watched (and I am currently binging them starting from the oldest), it always impresses me how well written and thought out they are. The end of this video hit me hard. The wording remains true two years later, almost 3 years now since it was uploaded. During the hardest of times, we see humans come together and lift each other up.

I’ve always thought that the one about “2 steel birds” was more related to the Atomic bomb attacks. The sky burning at 45 degrees would be the bombs exploding in midair, forget how many feet they detonated at but I’d imagine it would’ve been close to 45 degrees when seeing it from the ground. And the undead would be the people that were given radiation from the bombs.
