Was waiting for this one. My father lived in Albuquerque in 1947 with my grandfather and grandmother. My grandfather was a chemical engineer for Dow Chemical in Michigan during the late 30s and early 40s. Working with Ray McIntyre, they rediscovered styrofoam, and Dow patented it. About this time, my grandmother became increasingly ill, and they were advised she had to move to a warmer dryer climate of face possible death. So he asked for a transfer to a climate with these conditions. They offered up Sandia Labs in New Mexico. I think most are aware of what Sandia was. Dow Chemical contacted engineering support to them at the time because they were using Dow's chemicals to make a modified version of styrofoam. One day, the government showed up with a classified project that had the highest priority. The teams were given parts of a whole to analyze and report the findings. My father remembers his father being very excited because it was something completely foreign he'd never seen. They did their job, turned over the findings, and everything was confiscated. They were reminded of the classified nature and consequences, then nothing more. Sadly, my father was only 10 years old at the time, and 6 years later, my grandfather died of cancer. It is likely due to the work on styrofoam. So the trail stopped there. Later, when I heard the Bob Lazar story, it made a lot more sense to me. Something happened there, and it consumed a lot of assets in a short time to simply be a weather balloon. Thanks for the great story and take care!

Agreed ! Here is what I wish he would present.....At 6:00 he speaks of when they made the announcement of "flying saucer debris found" as you've seen many times when they show the actual newspaper headline. He is mistaken in that he said the news of it was released the following day as it was not. Well here is the kicker--in that article, which few ever read, it states that they, the army, had the debris in their possession for one week before releasing the info to the Roswell Daily Record(newspaper). Blow up or enlarge the July 9th ,1947 headline article and read it for yourself. So they had a week to study this material , the base having some of the finest mechanical and electrical and nuclear engineers on hand determined that it was alien debris and not remnants of a weather balloon. Think about the implications of that statement of fact contained in the headline article. It totally discredits the next day reversal of it's findings due to pressure from DC brass to retract it...and thus begins the cover-up which extends to this very day.

me and my cousin worked on this ranch in northern new mexico this past summer. there was one night he and i were watching heat lightning when a particular star caught my eye. i wasn't sure, but i had remember seeing a star there before, and seeing as how this one was very bright, i asked my cousin if he thought the star had moved or something. he immediately responded with "you saw that too?" for the next hour or so we kinda just watched this thing, whatever it was, move around the sky. it didn't move super far across the sky, maybe as much as the distance from the end of my thumb to the end of my pinkie, but it moved fast. i mean initially my cousin and i thought it was a drone in the meadow maybe 200 feet away just based on how fast it would change directions, going up down, left right, and almost always following the same pattern and returning to the same spot. but then we realized how far away it was when it disappeared behind the clouds. it was at the same distance as planes that had disappeared behind the clouds and was moving like it was a drone a few hundred feet away. my cousin and i were shocked. the weirdest thing about it was that whenever a plane would fly near this thing in the sky, the light would kinda chase after the plane, and every plane, without fail, would change course. obviously it doesn't have to be a UFO, it could be some air force something or other, especially seeing as how the air force academy is only a couple hundred miles away and there's other af bases in the area. or maybe just something else we don't know of, but it was a strange sight for two wannabe cowboys to see in the dead of night

I've seen a Prince Rupert Droplet break a hydraulic press but be destroyed with a pair of household pliers or wire cutters.🤷♀️ For those who don't know, it is a glass droplet much like a tadpole, made by dropping molten glass into cold water. Prince Rupert's drops have remained a scientific curiosity for nearly 400 years due to two unusual mechanical properties: when the tail is snipped, the drop disintegrates explosively into powder, whereas the bulbous head can withstand compressive forces of up to 664,300 newtons (67,740 kgf). There are many anomalies we have yet to fully understand and explain.

Another excellent video! Again, I must give the utmost respect and appreciation for the in-depth level of investigative journalism and how you are able to tell an extremely interesting story that includes such a detailed timeline and includes info about all those involved. But what separates you and your videos from nearly every other “story teller” and even sets you apart from most investigative journalists is not just your incredible skills for digging up such detailed and specific information, but your intellectual honesty and integrity about disclosing everything your research reveals, including not only the supporting evidence but the inconsistencies, misinformation, ambiguous or unverifiable aspects and the flat out lies or falsities you find. I can’t tell you just how much I respect and appreciate you for maintaining and continuing to provide that rare aspect to your videos and for your audience! Most people don’t realize how difficult that alone can be on many levels, but it’s such a vital aspect that is needed more so than ever in the current climate of ever increasing misinformation, sensationalism and con artists or those who become so focused on maximizing their celebrity and profiting that they sacrifice accuracy, honesty and their integrity. Thank you for such great stories that also provide such candid and trustworthy revelations and assessments!

This channel is the complete package. Great topics, story telling, characters and even the sponser ads are entertaining!

Right? This is the only channel where I don't skip over the sponsorship message lol.

The fact that almost 80 years later it’s still being speculated to me means something serious happened there in Roswell .

Very intrigued by this story my whole life, as my Grandpa was one of the Air Force secretaries that replaced the one who was there during the incident, about 6 months after. My mother and aunt were both born in Roswell. He always said the same thing when asked “ah, nothin’ to it”, but my whole family agreed this felt like a very programmed response. Till this day I can find anything to do with him being at the base for any period of time. But my whole family knows he was there.

Possibly very true your grandpa wasn’t anybody that would hold the information

@@hcp8212 not ruling that out. Still, also not ruling out he did know something and was either programmed, or outright too scared to ever say anything to anyone. He never seemed to want to talk much about his time in Roswell.

That was pretty much the typical response growing up in NM. In Lea County people speculated more than in Roswell (from my experience). People from Roswell; especially military families, often had a short response, like what you described.

Loved this one! Definitely need a part two! A topic I'd love to see you cover is Sky Trumpets.

I just have to say that I love hecklefish. It was a genious thing to add him. Even if the program leader is both sympathetic and captivating when he tells the stories, its hecklefish that really makes Why Files stand out and makes it as entertaining as it is interesting. The debunking at the end of the show also gives so much more weight to the parts that remains mysteries. I just want to add: 😂😂👍

Absolutely did not disappoint. Love hecklefish, love the way you build a story and then break it down with the facts. Excellent. And it’s never even a darn question, of course we want to see a whole episode on the Roswell alien that didn’t die!!
