Magnificent animal? I'm quite sure your an American, the only elephant you have to deal with his safely tucked away in a zoo. I guarantee your tune would change if you had to deal with the constant threat of these over grown eating machines tearing up your property or threatening your life. It's a complex issue many Americans due to their limited knowledge have tunnel vision. the only knowledge you truly have of elephants is pretty limited seeing where you live they are safely tucked away in a zoo. I bet your tune would change if you actually had to live under the threat of these hostile beasts destroying your property or devouring your crops, even better putting your children in danger when they walk to school. This poor beast has been unlucky as if you look at the trunk about a third of the way up it's trunk you can see a ring mark that looks like it has had the trunk caught in a snare or a plasic ring from the six pack can holder in the past. What a life no wonder there is elephant human confrontations.
