@@Lizzy_333its super easy and takes a week if that . I have a couple that now actually take peanuts out my hand while i have my dog on the leash . Never really thought about squirrels until about a year ago and ever since i feed them daily in the morning and evening. For me it started when one day i was walkin my dog and this squirrel was obviously intimidated and was in a tree near my home making weird noises and flickin his tail . Then i went home and saw some videos of squirrels goin crazy attacking ppl so i decided to attempt a peace treaty with him/her. It worked and today i am good friends with that squirrel who once had me shakin in my boots lol.

Thanks for this! I regularly feed my neighborhood squirrels with all kinds of nuts, sunflower seeds, peanuts etc. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I don't find squirrels boring at all. Yes, they are common but they are fascinating creatures. I am thankful for the creation of such a wonderful species.

Absolutely. They are an introduced species here in England so they get a lot of hate for out performing our native European red squirrel. But as I point out, the greys never asked to come here! I find them very pretty animals, funny and intelligent.

I have a big tree in front of my Livingroom window of my upstairs apartment. I watch squirrels and give them bread cubes. They love to eat then, nuts when i can afford them. Sometimes they chase each other around the tree trunk and hang upside down in the fall to get the berries that grow on the tree. I get a great deal of amusement watching them and sometimes when they are on the branches i talk to them and they look directly at me as if to say what are you jabbering about. I feed them all winter and in the spring through fall when the ground is bare they get their own food. But i really enjoy watching the little rascals chasing each other and grooming themselves at times.

Great video dude. They are very important to our ecological system in many ways that we might not even know. I believe that they do more to promote forest habitat than any other animal in the country. I believe that when they bury acorns, and other nuts/seeds it actually protects the ones they don’t eat from weather, bugs, and any other environmental conditions that can contribute to the perishing of tree and plant seeds. I guess you can call them nature’s farmers. VERY SMART critters too.

Eastern grey squirrels here in the uk chew out the nut radical that forms the tap root so that the nut doesn't germinate as this would spoil the kernel as a food source. They also have an incredible sense of smell to help locate nuts they have buried and other squirrels have stashed, it also helps then locate food source over great distances.

They are pests to the extent they get into our attic, but they're very cute and impressive creatures. After unsuccessfully trying to kill some of them, I found a live trap that works very well (and you can pet them once they calm down) and is actually a lot easier than trying to kill them. Driving 3 miles seems to be sufficient distance so they won't come back. Our trap is labeled "squirellinator" and has never spent a day in our yard without catching a squirrel, but other live traps probably work just as well.
