that is how gossip monks are, they get more angry when you dont respond to the gossip, they get more even and can direct the anger towards you more when you feel pity or show compassion towards the one who is being gossiped, in 2021, i went and visited my aunt's daughter, and she starts to gossip my uncle's first son, she mentioned how the guy is irresponsible and an adulterers' these two are my cousins, and it does not please me at all to hear of another's short comings, i was hurt and really concerned, and told no one, i did not like what i hear of my cousin doing that his marriage and felt pity for his wife, but i told the gossiper, God will help him, he will come alright, months passed, then the same gossiper decided to go to the wife of my uncle's son and gossiped about me, the same woman who was facing abuse from her husband, the one i was sorrowful about and i was displeased that she was treated in that manner, was very joyful about the gossip about me that, i am being ill treated in my marriage and had been divorced!, i know my aunt's daughter had always been a gossip and brings confusion but how can a woman who is being ill treated, be happy to hear of another woman's abuse? i decided to go visit her not confront her, but her reaction towards me exposed her, and when her husband asked why she was mean to me, i shared the gossip she enjoyed with my aunt's daughter, her husband was so furious, i had to wait outside when the argument continued, the husband even locked the door, and i could hear that the argument even led to him, slapping her!,
