The pressure to put your children in a school you cannot afford. The pressure to rent an apartment or buy a car you cannot afford. The pressure to dress a certain way to fit in when you cannot afford... and many more when things go bad the same people will tell you "every man for himself" we really need the grace of God to deal with external pressure. In fact this happens not only with couples but with school, etc. I have seen a woman promise heaven and earth to an undergraduate student before. At the time he needed help in school, this same woman ignored him and was traveling from continent to continent. God just used some people to raise a prayer alter and raise help for him in school. Immediately he finished school with a first class and this woman heard, she started boasting everywhere about him- organized induction and graduation party as if she was there when the poor boy was struggling in school and sometimes he won't even have food to eat.

the skit is pointing to the fact that as couples we should not let the influence of other people change our choices. of course God is our source but the bible encourages us to count our costs before trying to build a house. if as newly weds you agreed to wait a year before trying to have children so you can save money or any other reasons then wait. I love the Winlos and God bless their ministry! However I have contrarian view. Once you get married especially a godly marriage, children are in the plan. Also it’s God that gives children no matter how much in control we think we are. Our ways are not Gods way. Proverbs 16:9. In all things, you have to trust God on having kids- the timing, number, spacing everything. That being said, maybe this was the wrong concept to potray suchan imported life lesson such as this- not putting our trust in others I would love to see a part 2 of this where we see what happens when you put your trust in God and reveals how much children are a blessing! I don't understand, you got married without planning on how to fend for your kids? Didn't they do scan? Before getting married you should be ready to also have kids. That's why some guys are not yet married because they know they can't afford to take care of kids now. So it's not as if they advised him wrongly, it's him that got married without planning for his kids immediately. I have seen couples going for abortion just because they think they can't afford to have kids just yet and when they finally want to start having kids, they start facing infertility issues.
