I am from Kerala, on the southern tip of India, and I belong to a minority, which is even smaller than the population of Muslims in India. Do you really think, Kashmir can stay independent between India and Pakistan? If I were a Kashmiri, I would prefer to live in India, which is going to soon become the second-largest economy in the world. What Kashmir needs is development and jobs. Even Pakistan-administered Kashmiris want to join India, as they have been neglected by the Pakistanis for a long time. If I were a Christian in Pakistan, our girls will be abducted, raped and forced to marry old Muslim men before the Shariya court. Yes, I do agree that there are a lot of inner wounds inflicted upon Kashmiris. Now it's time to seek healing and move forward for the next generations of Kashmiris. As Indians, we want free and fair elections and a good life like we have in Kerala for Kashmir too.

Finally, I see an Indian familiar and accepting that Kashmiris have suffered at the hands of Indians. Look brother, any nation in the world who respects human dignity and endorses the fact that the people must be free whether in the form of speech, religious practices, etc. must stand with Kashmir and its people. When India was under British rule for more than 200 years, you would have said the same to the people that they need to accept whatever the British are throwing at them. The unemployment rate in Kashmir stands at 39℅ . Our resources are being exploited. Charu Mazumdar said that any ruling party uses Kashmir as their tool to get votes. Same happened with BJP. Apart from religious extremism, subjugation of kashmiris stands other reason for Indians to vote BJP. There are around 8 - 12000 people who were picked from homes by army and we don't know what happened to them. There are thousands of unmarked graves. We live in fear, if we leave home, our parents call us as many times as they can till we reach our destination or come back home. India is occupying Kashmir on what basis, the accession made by dogra ruler hari singh, who was nothing but a tyrant, he didn't represent the people of Kashmir. UN made clear that India has to go for plebiscite in Kashmir. You will see last month Amit Shah made an announcement that anybody who talks about plebiscite will be held under terror charges. No Europeans and Americans want India to be the second biggest economy after China. They love if we dwell ourselves in our inner conflicts. All Indians from Kashmir to Kerala want jobs and security. Kashmiris did not vote for any material concerns. They know that Er Rashid can't work for the so-called "development" (which is promoted like a religion). But they do not care.
