Manipur was a sovereign state under the king of meitei after independence. Meitie king ruled more than 2000 years. There was none from other community to be king throughout the history. Why do certain Meitei leaders come across as rude and egoistic? It's unfortunate that they are representing the entire Meitei community. During Sir Karan Thapar's interview, it appeared that sir Karan had to exercise restraint to avoid confrontation. Moreover, it is concerning that some members of the Meitei community hold elitist beliefs and make derogatory statements, such as labeling kuki community as narco-terrorists and inciting violence. Accusing the Assam Rifles of involvement in drug trafficking and undermining the authority of the central government is not within their jurisdiction. When it comes to the question of a separate administration for the kukizo, we are not asking the meitei govenment. it should be decided by the central government. We are already separate, and we are requesting the central government to recognize this.
