Since 2014, when the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party came to power, there has been a clamour from right-wing groups to change the constitution. Many of the ruling party MP have lent their support to such voices. Manusmriti, the ancient text which extols casteism and misogyny, is back in conversation, with the Delhi University having seen an attempt at introducing it as part of the law syllabus.
In this 40-minute long conversation, Professor Apoorvanand of Delhi University discusses with Siddharth Varadarajan, founding editor of The Wire, how the political thought that gave rise to the clamour for the Manusmriti is now bringing a Samvidhan Hatya Diwas on June 25, to remember the anniversary for the 1975 Emergency.

विश्व राष्ट्र मानवो ! गुरुपूर्णिमा दक्षराज जन्म की शुभकामनाएं । इस दिवस पर सभी माता पिता अपने बच्चो के यज्ञोपवित संस्कार करवायें । सतयुग दक्षराज वर्णाश्रम सनातन संस्कार। सौ साल औसतन आयु मानकर गुरूकुल जाने की आयु आठ साल मानी गई थी। जब तक बालक की आठ वर्ष की अवस्था न हो तब तक बालक को उत्पन्न हुये बालक के समान जानना चाहिए। गुरुकुल जाने लिए आठ साल आयु तक नहीं जाने के लिए कहा गया था गर्भस्थ शिशु मात्र बालक समान माना गया था । मानवजन की औसतन आयु वेद दर्शन शास्त्र अनुसार सौ साल मानी गई थी। आज‍कल गुरुकुल/ स्कूल जाने के लिए अस्सी साल औसतन आयु मानकर छः साल तक आयु मानी गई है। जब तक बालक का जनेऊ ना हो तब तक भक्ष्य अभक्ष्य, पेय, अपेय, सत्य और असत्य में बालक को दोष नहीं जानना चाहिए। संस्कृत श्लोक विधिनियम- जातमात्र: शिशुस्तावद्यावदष्टौ समा वय: । स हि गर्भसमो ज्ञेयो व्यक्तिमात्रप्रदरशित: ।। भक्ष्याभक्ष्ये तथा पेये वाच्यावाच्ये ऋतानृते। अस्मिन्बाले न दोष: स्यात्स यावन्नोपनीयते ।। दक्षराज स्मृतिज्ञान। जय विश्व राष्ट्र सनातन प्रजापत्य दक्ष धर्म। जय अखण्ड भारत। जय वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम। ॐ ।।

लोगों ने 36 ईश्वर बना लिए हैं जो महापाप है क्योंकि वो सिर्फ एक है, अकेला है..,उस जैसा कोई और नहीं। अगर होते तो सारे ईश्वर अपने-अपने इंसानों को एक जैसा ही क्यों बनाते...फिर तो सब ईश्वर की अलग-अलग प्रकार की रचना होती..हिंदुओं का ईश्वर उन्हें अलग रूप देता, ईसाइयों का भगवान उन्हें अलग रूप देता, यहूदियों का खुदा उन्हें अलग-अलग तरीके से बनाता ...पर च्युंकी हमारा क्रिएटर सिर्फ एक है इसलिए हम सबको रचयिता ने एक जैसा ही बनाया है...पर भटके हुए लोगों ने अलग-अलग ईश्वर जरूर बना लीये हैं। जिस प्रकार हमारा पिता सिर्फ एक ही इंसान हो सकता है उसी प्रकार से हम सबका निर्माता भी सिर्फ एक ही है जिसे अल्लाह के नाम से भी बुलाया जाता है...पर सच्चे ईश्वर की जगह हर महान इंसान को ईश्वर नहीं बोलना चाहिए। बाकी सही रास्ता वही देख पाएगा जिसे अल्लाह(ईश्वर) दिखाना चाहे...क्योंकि वही जानता है कि किसका हृदय कितना निर्मल है और कितनी उसको सच्चाई को कबूल करने की लालसा है। वेदों में कृष्ण जी या रामजी या हिंदू शब्द का कोई उल्लेख नहीं है। ऐसा तब होता है जब ईश्वर प्रदत्त धर्मग्रंथों (वेद, कुरान) का सम्मान नहीं किया जाता है, लोग पौराणिक कथाओं के जाल में फंस जाते हैं और मानव निर्मित देवताओं की पूजा करने का अक्षम्य पाप करते हैं जो अंततः उन्हें नर्क में पहुंचा देगा। प्रार्थना है कि सच्चा रब-अल्लाह( ईश्वर) सबको सही रास्ता दिखाये..जिसे आज तक किसी ने नहीं देखा है..। सादर,,

The Punch line of Rahul Speach was when he said BJP/ RSS do not represent the Hindu religion. He fell short of saying that BJP & RSS represent a Polythistic Brahmin religion and not a Hindu religion. Each caste is a more significant Polytheistic religion in its own right, while the Hindu religion is not even a Polytheistic religion. The Hindutva of RSS is actually a Brahminvadi Polytheistic religion, which they like to call the Hindu religion. The Hindu religion came into existence during British rule. They encouraged it by clubbing all non-Abrahmic religions under the umbrella of the Hindu religion. They did it primarily for their administrative ease and not to support religion. That is why we do not find any King in History who called himself a Hindu King. Even Lord Ram was not known as a Hindu King. Nor do we find any reference to Hindu religion in any holy book of Sanatana Dharma. Be it Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagwat Gita or Ramayana. We do not see any temples from the pre-British era, known as Hindu temples. During British rule, the Brahmins started putting a Barat of Idols in all our temples to pocket the revenue and started calling it the Hindu temple. Hence, we had no followers of the Hindu religion between the Vedic times and the British era. We still vote for our caste / Polythistic religion. The founders of the nation were wise people in giving us a secular constitution and not a Hindu / Brahminvadi constitution, which the Brahmins of RSS want to create now.

@JSR-n9i: Well, those living in UP & Bihar will love to go to Pakistan as per capita income in Pakistan is 50 % higher than in these two states. Any Indian will not mind going to Bangladesh as the percapita of a Bangladeshi is higher than that of an Indian. Moreover, as per the 1950 census, the population of Hindus in Pakistan was only 0.2 %, while the population of Muslims in India was 9.6 %. By 2011, the Muslim population in India had increased to 14.5 %, while the Pakistani census of 2017 shows that the population of Hindus has increased 10 times. Hence, it can be said Pakistan treats its minorities better than India does.
