I haven't read the books, but I've played Witcher 2 and a LOT of Witcher 3. My interpretation of that line really rides on one word, and that's *rather*. Geralt isn't an idealist. He recognizes the necessity of a choice, even when it conflicts with his morals, and doesn't let that conflict turn to indecision or sloppiness. That's what I admire about him most, he is utterly in control of his actions without being an emotionless sociopath. That fits his portrayal in the games, I feel, and also seems to embody the teachings of the Wolf class. Thoughts?

I like how they mention this exact trailer in the game when SPOILERS . . . . You're helping Lambert with his quest to get shit for Yen and you can choose "Trying to impress me? It won't work acting tough" Which he responds by "wha-what are you doing? Killing monsters, that's a tough guy act Vesemir told me about." Something along those lines.

They need to kill off using gamebryo engine it's 21 years old now. No wonder fallout 4 is poorly optimized can't even run 60fps on medium graphics smh. Meanwhile chad witcher 3 can obtain that while looking better than fallout 4

I don’t get why they can’t just have a cinematic Netflix serie instead of real actors, cause this still sends chill down my spine
@cringesmile92555 жыл бұрын
would be freaking awesome but sadly absolutly undoable. This trailer probably took more effort and money to make than maybe one or two episodes in a series even in high quality. To make a series likes this would be more than insane.

@@cringesmile9255 Its CGI in which is cheaper then a Hand Drawn Anime, Streaming Services make there money based on the amount of streams and or ads but considering how Netflix is known worldwide and has over idk 70 million subscribers and with a salary of 8- 15$ taking from each and every account means they would have more then enough for a series that could last for years and with the amount of fans and demand for a witcher Adaption Done RIGHT surely as said before they would and will make more then they actually would and will spend, BUT since were getting a shitty live action (and we all know how live action Netflix adaptions play out) I'm sure were gonna be getting most likely a 2 part series and or a very short one with bland special affects/Visuals and choregraphy that could've been 100x better in a CGI adaption The amount of things possible in CGI that live action could only hope to execute is almost endless but like I said before its going to be a short dull series
@cringesmile92555 жыл бұрын
@@ughthatguy3274 I don't know how the cost correlation is to Anime but the kind of CGI we see in this trailer is extremly hard and expensive. The work that stands behind cinematics is enormous. Netflix could surely do a short cinematic style series if they really wanted but I honestly doubt that it would pay for them. Look at the behind the scenes of any decent cinematic trailer and you will understand that at the moment it is not really feasible to do a cost efficient version in series or movies. At least not similarly to Killing Monsters
@ughthatguy32745 жыл бұрын
@@cringesmile9255 Which brings me back to my previous statement, its chump change to Netflix and the witcher has a VERY large fan base that wants a series and again Netflix makes it money via subscriptions and Streams which Again in meaning making a series of this quality in CGI wouldn't be difficult at all but just expensive.
@ughthatguy32745 жыл бұрын
@@cringesmile9255 Overall Like I said, for Netflix which has speacilties in CGI (Thief own studios) and the amount of money they make (Which ranges in the billions) this shouldn't be a problem for them AT ALL. And what I'm saying about the correlation of hand drawn anime and CGI is that amines like Attack on Titan cost more Money AND time to make compared to The CGI above in which Netflix has plenty of original anime that are HANDRAWN themselves via internal studios, cgi above like I said before is chump change and if done right would only further boosts Netflix reputation and in the end.....profit

One thing always bothered me about this scenario: how the hell did these guys live as long as this if they think they're gonna take a professional monster-killer hand-to-hand? You hire this guy because he does a violent job that you are literally incapable of doing, and he just smacked you twenty feet with a flash of light, so you figure... "Yeah, I can totally take this guy with my four-inch wooden stick, mate!"

Witchers aren't invincible or even all that powerful tbh. They were just genetically engineered to have a higher endurance so they have an advantage when fighting monsters. Doesn't stop people from beating, imprisoning, and killing Geralt throughout the 3 games though.haha
@GeraltORivia8 жыл бұрын
Well that's the same as asking why would anyone even dare fight a Witcher. Because they want the fucking glory that comes with killing Geralt of Rivia, The Butcher of Blaviken and Giant Slayer.
@danieldaw17788 жыл бұрын
Suicidal overconfidence is a common trait among red shirt mooks/minions. Geralt is basically his verses version of Captain America/Master Chief. And don't buy the first commentators they only have enhanced endurance. They are all around enhanced, that's why they can completely bisect a guy with a pretty normal swing of their sword, react to all types of monsters, see in the dark, and take a number of those ridiculous potions of theirs, which even the weakest ones are enough to kill a normal human with only one swig. They're also ridiculously skilled with multiple types of weapons and can use magic. It was probably stupidity, plus arrogance, and ignorance and/or outright ignoring the full ramifications of taking on a witcher and their strength in numbers that lead them to throw away their pathetic lives.
@PeterK19848 жыл бұрын
+joiless I think the issue was that they did not think he was going to fight them at all. That's why they were not worried about provoking him. In the books the witchers have a codex of not getting involved. Even Geralt usually sticks to it. There is a scene in the last book where Geralt meets a group of soldiers who force some people to leave their village. Among other things Geralt sees little girls with torn clothing who bleed from their vaginas due to multible violent rapes. And when the girls collapse due to their injuries the soldiers start beating and kicking them...Geralt does not intervene in any way. So the soldiers think they can do whatever they want and the witchers are just going to ride away. And once they realize they are wrong, once the fight starts they don't think running will help. If you are in a fight with a mad dog, you have to grab it by the balls. You'll probably be bitten to death but if you run, it will chase you down and you will definitely be bitten to death.

PeterK1984 True. I totally forgot that a lot of people, even some witcher's themselves believe that the mutations they receive via the trials make them emotionless.

Such a masterpiece packed to the brim with so much thought and passion. Even after 5 years, this game still proves to be one of the best, if not the best, RPG game of all time. Everything about this game is exactly what a fan of RPG games was always hoping to have.

yeah the story is nonlinear. By going deeper to the game feels like your geralt because of the decisions you have to decide. there’s so much dilemma and the games outcome will depend on your every decision. thats why you have to go deeper like read the books in the games, observe the characters behaviour and search. because like the Story of Following the threads from lambert it was really difficult for me to decide I let Jad Karadin leave but some how i felt regret because he said that all his fortunes was for her gamily but his family dress like a beggar or an orphan when he was a welathy merchant. i decide to replay the game and found out he was on human trafficking so i killed him in my next play through.
