Fun fact about this song: it's been studied by composition students at the University of Sydney! Their songs are incredibly technical but still have amazing flow and emotion, and this one captures all of it perfectly. The two vocalists almost have a yin and yang dynamic going on, both in stage presence and sound, yet harmonize super well together. You might like "Graal" from their latest album as well!

Saw them headlining in October last year on tour with The Omnific and Beyond Creation. Ne Obliviscaris are amazing, and they have been my second favorite band for years once Opeth had stopped with their growls (although Opeth bring them back on the upcoming album!). All of their albums are fantastic, but their debut album Portal of I (where this song comes from) is something very special. Highly recommend all of their material.

I could sit and listen to those instrumentals all day! Those musicians are fantastic, every single one of them. I also liked the clean vocals soaring above while the harsh vocals stayed grounded. If I can find any fault at all with this, it is that I couldn't understand one single word the harsh vocalist was singing. But, for me, in this case, tha's OK with me because the rest of it was so darn good.

Wohoo! It's a really interesting combination of genres. It's weirdly addictive to listen to. I believe they use NO in lessons in polyrhythms in the conservatory in Melbourne since it is so advanced.

I would not go as far as saying every song from them has this breakdown, even if they like to do that often. From what I can recall, Icicle, Of Petrichor, Pyrrhic, Libera, and some others don’t.
