10:44 The reason for the massive increase in RP for modifications is because end of the line vehicles have a much larger modification RP requirement so they take longer to spade. Realistically this should only apply to vehicles at the max rank of the tree and not before that, but because warthunder, it applies for every vehicle at the end of a line Its easy to notice that this is a thing, especially with some of the most obvious comparisons being the Leclercs and the Type-10s. A TKX rank 4 mod costs 20k RP, while a Type-10 rank 4 mod cost 33k RP

the thing is this tank really isn’t all that bad. People just call it trash cause it dosent fit there play style. it’s a nice tank. just gotta play it right which you probably did.

This tank is too good, IMO. This helped me get my first Abrams in a week with premium time. It can survive some ATGMs and Heli AGMs if they aim for the ERA, but not everyone knows that, somehow. It is slow, but its enough.

actually got the RISE because i wanted some sort of a lineup for the XM-803. absolutely atrocious imo. zero mobility, zero gun handling, no LRF. very slow and overall not very comfortable to play. maybe it was made for behind-the-rock gameplay but i am not a fan of that, the XM is a lot better for agressive gameplay

At least now, the Rise is really god damn good in my experience. I tried it for a few days, and it almost NEVER got uptiered when i played it, most of my matches were at most, a full uptier for my AOS, so +0.7 for my Rise As it is right now with the matchmaking i had, its basically an M60 AOS with APFSDS and some ERA, which actually saves me a lot from rockets and such

Rise is the best M60A1. It gets the dart (Even though it got nerfed), and the ERA can save you in down tiers.

I've honestly really enjoyed this tank, though I wish I could unequip the ERA to make it lighter and somewhat more mobile. It's not very survivable against most shells you'll face, but M774 and thermals definitely put in work at 9.0. I went for it first instead of the Abrams, since I knew I wouldn't go back for it once I hit the Abrams. Edit: I can only imagine it performs even better with the recent BR reshuffle, considering all the vehicles that were brought up to 8.0 or closer to 9.0.

I went for the M1, and am 1/3 to the M1A1, but I’m going back for the RISE P and the TTS because I like 9.0/8.3 and 8.3/8.7, I think that they’re the BR where fun peaks.

I did buy three premiums in total (av-8a and xm1 pack on sale and preordered a-10), but for the rest (ka-50 and turms) I just sold event vehicles to buy them on sale. I’ll spend money again once the game is good enough; it’s improving but it’s not done doing so.

man to grind it is 65% less than the american tts.. the only difference is the ERA... actual and gives you as option the best shell. (735) US TTS needs to get M735 27000 RP.......... china needs 11000.. fair and square

I'm not playing this tank unless Gaijin fixes the RP costs whenever that's supposed to happen. The tank is dogwater as is, and stock is just unbearable. In fact, in some aspects, the Starship is better than TTS because Starship is faster, has better turret armor, uber accurate ATGMs and a derp artillery cannon.

I personally believe if Gaijin can't reduce its BR to like 8.7 ( it's currently 9.0 ) they should buff the reload rate, it doesn't make sense how the M60 platform with a huge turret to make reloading faster, somehow is one of the slowest reload, they should put it at like 4.5-6.5 second at max

It might be a controversial thing, but they could make human loaders more realistic by having their performance slowly degrade with time, as the ammo placement gets less convenient. Lap loading would be the obvious upside for the M68 cannon.

@@TJ042 or y'know, make their reload 6 seconds cause the tank is huge, it's sluggish, so a 6 second reload will not hurt anyone since most competitor for the M60 platform has faster reload, faster speed, and smaller frame so the platform is at a disadvantage rn

19E10/20 M60A3 Tank Crew Gunnery Skills Test (TCGST) requires the loader to load at 5 seconds max, most come in around 3. Lets not even talk about vacum loading (unauthorized) can cut it to 1.5.

It would be fine if the tanks round is actually realistic. It should have access to M833 but it doesn’t and I think it’s m775 which it the TTS best round along with the M833 have almost 70mm less pen then they do irl

You know, I absolutely love M60s design IRL, so for me it was must research - spade vehicles... But in game, espacially the TTS and RISE, these two are immensively painful to spade. These two are the only vehicles in the entire game that made me cry from frustration when spading them... If I can advise anyone, do not continue the M60 line after the AOS... AOS is actually a very good tank, even though it got moved up to 8.3 from 8.0 in the last big BR change update. But, from pragmatic point of view, there is literally no reason to research the TTS and RISE other then, you just like these tanks... I actually ended up paying for the vital mods for TTS including - first APDSFS round, laser rangefinder, thermals, filters, engine, transmission and for both gun elevation and horizontal turret drive mods... the rest being done with premium account and let me tell you... when spaded, this vehicle is very fun to play. Well, it's actually like the M60 AOS with the nessessary tools to compete on higher BRs such as APDS FS, LR, thermals and "increased" protection against chemical rounds. I had many good games in it and I just love the aesthetics and feel of a "classical" tank desing, if you know what I mean... it's also not the slowest tank out there - also when fully spaded - but where it's mobility shines is in the on spot manevuering, like every M60 tank in the game and so on and so on... In short, it's a good tank in it's top configuration (btw do not forget to atleast expert your crew, also very important to note), but with it's crippling mod RP costs, it's the most painful spade you can undertake in this game imo... in stock it's slooooow, cumbersome, with HEAT FS with strangely enough, thanks to it's size and crew displacement decent first hit survivability, but without the Spare parts and FPE, well... it's maybe for the worse, since it just prolongs your suffering... If you need this tank becuase you love the M60s (like I do), you better of be ready to have some spare money to put into it (real money), otherwise... AVOID IT! You'll be infinitely better of with XM 803 and MBT 70, till you reach the first Abrams... PS: I was spading the TTS, when the premiumville on 9.7 - 10.0 was a big thing... nowadays, the grind can be better, since the premiumville moved even beyond 10.0. Also TTS was not affected by the last big BR change, so now it sits on the 9.0 BR high tier sweet spot, IMO... correct me if I'm wrong...

Sounds like a skill issue (Not serious). I had an ok time with these, but what did make me furious was the absolute trash xm803 and mbt70. No survivability, terrible stock shells, trash design, and its not even good once spaded. It has about the same amount of pen as the hstv so at least the m60s can kill things. Though I have found more recently that I just suck at the US tanks and find France to be sooo much better.

@@gavinlightfoot5521 Well atleast from my own experience with XM803, (didn't bother to research the MBT 70, since both of these tanks are not very appealing to me), the XM803 is objectively way better in stock than M60s RISE and TTS. Atleast I had way better time playing that thing in stock than the TTS (way better than I'd like it to be fully honest evem with the HEAT shell xd )... yes, the shells are awful, the XM578A1 is kinda trash APFSDS but this things mibillity makes it really enjoyable in stock-ish config, plus 7.5 sec autoloader - not the fastest but atleast you can still depend on it even when you lose one of your crew, usually driver, otherwise you are dead... And modfication costs are acceptable, well atleast I didn't have to sacrifice my own sanity in order to research the APFSDS... But yes, when spaded, I would take the M60 over this anyday, anytime, don't get me wrong on that... It's just the vehicle is basically artificially crippled by the insane RP mod costs, which can be overlooked by decent amount of GE or dedication, of course... But then you need to ask the question, do you really want to spend either your time with nerves or about 40 dollars to make the tech tree tank playable and enjoyable? Or are you going to just take the XM803 (you need to research it anyway), bite the bullet and research your way to the Abrams without the relative need to spend a single penny? Your answer depends on how you actually play the game and how you see it... for me, it would be the first option even if I could decide for the second time since I love the M60s and despise the MBT design (we both have a common ground here I suppose) but for quite a some people, it's going to be either the XM1 or sticking to the free to play model and giving an XM803 or maybe even the MBT70 a shot... Plus, take into the consideration that the M60 line doesn't lead anywhere...

Once I got apfsds I wanted to be more competitive but it just can't seem to do as well as the m60s. I see it as the mbt70 has a higher reliability and usability when stock compared to the m60s but less reliability when spaded.

with that... tank.. i have 91 fights... 60 kills....... 90 deaths....7 upgrades.....amazing job by gaijin.. to put 27000 points to research one module.. people avoid to play high brs.. not only cause the cost.. but because of the exhaustion to grind the tanks the modules....... is amazingly bad how gaijin treat the players on that matter..... i will wait until the modules get lowered to play that.. thing again... i believe the september will apply that.. as comparison referance.. i spaded the C2A1 in parallel with the big betrha( class 3 p) those tanks were more easy to catch up and keep it .. cause i think it was 12000 per module.. fun fact after i manage to get the first arrow.. i get in a map and eye ball and 1 shot one enemy..... claim in the chat.. no rangefinder .. most of the time the M60TTS get to face fast and aggresive tanks.. like the Type 16... and more of that kind... the moment you reach one area you want to be.... the team you are in is 60% out of the match....... why people play 1 tank.. is so so stupid..

I got the TTS probably 2 years ago and Im still grinding the mods lol. Im probably halfway through and am currently grinding the laser rangefinder. Costs need to go down so bad edit: I should specify I play it on and off. I haven't been constantly grinding it 2 years straight lol

I polayed this for a decent amount of battles but this isn't something you'll enjoy spading, I did try to but it was just too difficult and I ended up spending GE to get a lot of the modifications unlocked, once it's spaded the experience is much better but for 9.0 this thing is easily outclassed, the armor is atrocious and the speed is a big weakness.

Imo id grind it out, im just really anticipating the m60ax in the future. Also the m1 is actually just pain when compared to the m60 line, even if you take a rise p to 10.3 it will always do better, I'm not sure why as the m1 should be better in every way but it just has worse luck i guess. Its like the m10 at 5.7 when compared to the m18, the m10 just does betterevery time despite being worse.

Wait till the next major update drops so you won’t have to grind through end-of-line 2X RP cost if you really want TTS and spade it. And yes TTS is absolutely shit. 9.0 tanks nearly always face 9.7 T-72 Turms so let’s use it as a reference. 1. TTS uses M774 and it can’t pen Turms front hull reliably. Others with DM33 can. 2. Expert crew is needed to out-reload others and especially T-72s. 3. An awful 8X low FOV sight. 4. Only 4 deg/s of max vertical guidance, so the gun stabilization is subpar and will make you get caught out in hilly fights. 5.Among the slowest MBT. Only slightly faster and more agile than Chieftain. 6.Ineffective armor. The front only protects against early APDS and gun-based HEAT. Any round hitting the mantlet 38mm volumetric roof will 1-tap you, and the cupola is a big overpressure weak spot for AAs and 125mm HE/HEATFS. 7. Relatively small gun breach. The breach on Leo 1 can absorb fragments to protect the gunner, sometimes commander, against shots to loader. TTS is so spacious that the gun breach won’t be saving the crews. 8. Limited to carrying 17 rounds. Starting from the 18th round, rounds will then fill up the rack behind the loader. Meaning if you could survive a shot to the loader side (very unlikely), your ammo rack will explode instead. I have spaded it long ago and nearly unlocked all the kills-based camo. With all these experience, I am confident to say that TTS is garbage in the game.

I played through the Russian ground tree and then went back to the grind the M60-2000. Started with this tank, and so far, it has been miserable. Getting waterboarded with a five gallon can of JP8 would be more enjoyable than playing this tank. What pisses me off though, is that this tank was not bad in real life, but Gaijin had to nerf it for "balance."

ive said forever that this thing and the M1 Abrams at 10.3 need M833 ammo, and the M833 needs to have its pen fixed cuz it should be doing 423mm not 393mm this thing should also never see a battle higher than BR 9.7

Yeah the 2 biggest gripes I have with the M60 series is the armor and the mobility. The lack of one of these would be perfectly fine if the other was significantly better. The AMBT is alright at 10.0 with the 1200hp engine, and is only let down by the fact that you usually lose half your crew anytime anyone looks at you funny.

Armor is always secondary, because in this game you can always work around it. Mobility is everything in WT, especially at that BR. This is also why US Merkavas were removed from the tree for years but nobody buys them on the market. They are just too slow. They have the armor, but poor mobility means the enemy will dictate the engagement.

@@gavinlightfoot5521 Skill issue. Nobody is forcing you to rush into enemy guns, and you can play conservatively just as well in a fast tank. But speed will give you the option to maneuver around the enemy. If you utilize your speed even on a small map you can take out the enemy before they even know you are there.

@@harryshuman9637 i know that, I play fast French tanks like the char25t and amx50 to90 930 which I have no problems using as it has my best KD. I just like slower tanks in the US and I think most of their fast tanks are absolutely shit.

Truly garbage. The only reason I went for this *before any other 9.0 tank* was that I figured it would take a while to spade so by the time it's spaded, I have another tank to focus on for sure and that it would be nice to play something you don't see a ton of in every match. I was right on the first count, but only half-right on teh second: It's not nice to play in the least. Absolutely awful to play, and there's a reason you never see these. The is-4m outruns this on snow. Absolutely ridiculous.

There's nothing really to be added that's relevant to that line. Other vehicles like the RDF-LT and the M10 Booker (doubtful it would be even added because how new it is) would be added to the HSTVL and M1128 lines respectively.

@@JakeTheTankmaster this aged not to bad considering the release of the m60 2000 this update alpha strike. They also moved the m1a1 hc into the lineup as well currently 11.3 and 10.0 for the m60 2000. I think basically the two tank lines are U.S army tanks and marine corp tanks... kind of.
