What a great version I stumbled on, and fuzz on the drums.....what a surprise, sometimes a cover version is equally as good if not better or rather different.... ‘alone again or’ is a fine example covered by the The Damned and originally written and performed by the band ‘Love’. Now I've discover the Wonder Stuff, who I thought were one hit wonders years back, apologies guys clearly you are not ...I've download you of apple music and enjoying my new discovery.

Good tune, Miles has the hair back, fiddle player is hot. The Wonderstuff was always more than one person though to my mind (speaking as a fan who was there at the start). Not sure how I feel about this still being the "Wonderstuff".

I am obsessed with covers that are better than the original and I'm compiling a list in order to make a video. While this is a good effort, it was never going to be better than the Dexys version. But I am also doing a "Good effort but Impossible task" list. I might put this in the Good Effort list, along with Dexys version of 7 Days and Nouvelle Vagues versions of The American (Simple Minds) and Teenage Kicks (The Undertones) Oh yeah, I was going to point out that you can hear more or the words in this version. So top marks for that. And hey, I never knew this was about UB40
