Plus it only gives the 2nd and 3rd places a chance, but in tight groups, anyone from four of five could go through if they had everyone do the stones (or whatever the last event would otherwise be). Plus the person in first could even falter and fall out of the qualifying places completely. So yes, I agree with you.

What an unfair advantage to the first lifter. Once the first lifter fails the second should show that he can indeed do it and not fail as well.

That one lift is not gonna kill the other guy. Besides, Trey led Bish by 3,5 points. He definitely deserves at least some kind of advantage or would you rather athletes just sandbag the entire competition because they have stones as a banker?
