This song is done so dynamically by Nickleback that the back up vocals are essential to the composition when done at karaoke. I sing along to most of their songs & never thought about doing this. However lost a young friend to suicide. I wonder if I could have help to prevent that 1 really bad day? I wish I could get him back. See him defeat his demons. I loved him as a son. He is so missed. His humor hide his pain. He joked off the cuff all of the time. I laughed more often than not by his comments. He expressed his pain with his jokes. I never thought he had the courage to end his life. He had the ability to connect with people. As we know those people feel not just their pain but ours as well. He carried the pains of his parents & friends. Then with a relationship that didn't work out, well he had a very bad day. I so wish he had reached out to me. I hate that he left this world without knowing how much his laughter and friendship meant to me & others. He was a brother, son, nephew, friend, coworker & so much more. He felt his mistakes left him no path forward. I so disagree. If you are needing a "New Life" there are people ready & willing to help set you on the right path. Please do not take the road of ending your tomorrows because you think it's impossible to get there. A new beginning. In Matt's memory if you are at your end & truly want that chance to change your life? Find me. I'm listed on social media. If you are the real thing? Ready to be clean & sober? Ready to be those people without a habit? A decent home, a job, perhaps a family? I can't take on more than 1 person at a time but I would be willing to help. I'm sure I'm a drop in the bucket to the decent people on this planet. No drugs, no drinking, no sexual perversions, no thieving, no lying but a desire to change who you have been? I'd be in to prevent anyone ending their lives. If I could have talked with him? Given him a hug? Let him know his value to all who looked at him through different eyes than he saw himself? I miss my friend. I miss him very much. I wanted him to become who he was meant to be. His 1 bad day, 1 bad hour, 1 bad moment changed history. He would have been a good husband & father. He had his flaws but he was a good friend & extra son. I took him on in my heart but got busy & wrapped up into my own world. Then when I wasn't looking we all lost him. The signs were there. It's hard to forgive myself that I wasn't clear to him that not just me but our entire family welcomed him, flaws & all, into our lives. So I hear this song & I think of Matt. Always I think of Matt. So someday as a society I pray we end suicide. Depression is a fickle disease. Suicide is such a final solution to many temporary problems. I so want my friend back. Yet I can't change history. I am a poor, older woman without very much to offer but a new prospective. I love this song. Ok I cry most of the time it plays. Nothing wrong with remembering those we lost. It's a good karaoke song.

Go find the instrumental by just typing it on youtube. This Is a Karaoke, you have to understand the difference betweenInstrumental and Original Karaoke.

Finds only with vocals..and the difference is that the instrumental has the originals instruments in it and karaoke just uses the melody and the key but not the same instruments...got nothing to do with have or not having those annoying back vocals

The reasons why Nickelback is Hated: Nickelback is Hated cause they are just dull. Tired ideas, tired songs, their first two hits were almost identical,The Canadian group relies on tried-and-true soft rock tropes and rarely attempt to play anything innovative, sticking with what will reliably get radio play, Nickelback for being inauthentic, faking their way through uninspired, uncool post-grunge for purely commercial purposes, All their songs sound the same, It's generic. Bland. Cheesy. Overdone. So those are the reasons why Nickelback is Hated And BTW I still love NB even though their songs sound the same,or their Generic,Boring ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
