The Black Sun are the major threat in this mod in the early game, they got toned down a bit from the last version but they're still significantly more potent than the Empire until very late in the mod.

When it comes to capital ships, build one Wingless and then three normal MC80s. You need the carrier cover, and right now you really don't have the funds to replace 4-5 individual squadrons just yet. Once you get air superiority, build some battleships. Also, make Bakura and Sullust priorities. Bakura gives you access to a special capital ship, and Sullust will get you a hero and acess to Dauntless class ships.

Shack, this is more than a Let's play of Awakening Of The Rebellion it is more of a role play. I love it because it sets the mood for the viewer of what is happening in the war effort you are killing it with the intros I love it and same with everyone else. I like the difference you make, rather than everyone else of how other people just play it and watch but now there is a plot in this let's play where as the others they just play and attack random places. Keep it up Shack wonderful vid and love the difference and intros.

Having played the Empire, it's definitely not easier. You start very spread out with no fleets or armies to speak of, and the build times are... exorbitantly lengthy. As the Empire, you'll start by losing half of your territory to the spam of Black Sun and by the time the minor factions wake up, you'll have the Hapes Consortium rampaging around the Core and Mid Rim with thier OP units.

Shack you need to use sympathizers. they get me 2k credits or more a week. coruscant alone gets me over 1k. Also you need to watch the credit numbers more closely! If Planets have both a "+" and a "-" then they make negative money! Don't send your sympathizers there! Also those quasars are amazing. Especially once you upgrade them. In fact they are the core part of my rebel fleets. I have 4 of them in any fleet.

Nice to see this played! And you tend to leave a lot of your ground units in space - make sure if you're not building up for an immediate attack somewhere with them to put them on the ground so they don't risk being ambushed.

Actually I think it is even harder with the empire. They too are under constant pressure especially from the black suns. With the empire you also don’t get a big Fleet at the Start. You get 2 Star destroyers, 2 or 3 venators and very few support ships. These ships are not enough to secure every front. In fact, the rebellion starts with way mor ships

That's because the AI in this mod cheats, if you played the Empire you'd notice the Rebellion is hitting you with more ships then a player could afford. But yeah, The Empire doesn't have it all that easy themselves. They have a ton of fronts to defend, and like was said before, you're fleets are lacking starting out. You have to spend a long time building up defenses before you can reach out and attack anything.

Love this mod. I heard that 2.8 will take place in between Rebels Season 4 and Rogue One and have mainly Rebels Assets. (Like the Hammerhead Corvette) The Solo Movie was very great! Solo's actor did surprisingly well and Lando was Perfect. Seeing the Falcon in her prime was pretty great too. Strategy: You play alot better than I do lol. I just save after each Victory so if I lose I just go back and correct an error.

Actually, as someone who's played The Empire in this mod, I have to say the difficulty of playing them would probably surprise you. You might have strong units and a lot of territory, but the amount of planets and their generally central location makes defending them really difficult, as you're constantly attacked by every other faction from all angles. You have to constantly move your fleets to chase out enemies, so you're ability to expand is really limited as well because you need to focus on defense so much.

I must admit. After playing the base game against the base AI when I got this I started getting my ass kicked xD. But I also admit. I watch your videos cuz I absolutely ADORE them, and especially the captains logs. So awesome.

I've been playing this build as the empire and I have to say it's still quite difficult. You only start with two star destroyers and they're both hero units. I found my forces spread thin and I had to cede almost all of my outer rim planets to the rebels and the black sun. The AI doesn't give you a break either, you have the keep the game paused always or else they'll be starting battles with you before you can even think.

Shack, at least in the vanilla version, you don't need to keep the hero on the planet once the corruption removal process starts. You can instantly zip them from planet to planet. 😀

Shack, at around 16:50, your income went down because you sent a smuggler to a planet that was losing the empire money. It cost money to have smugglers stealing money, and you have to look at if the planet is making or losing money. If it is losing money, the income number will be + - XXX(don't ask me why they have it that way), but if it is making money it will say + XXX. You still have to also pay attention to how much money the planet is making, if it is a positive number, because if you spend more on having the smuggler steal money than the smuggler is making, you are losing money overall. I believe this is a mechanic specific to this mod, but I could be wrong.

Hey Shack, coz you tend to get a bit scattered at times with your priority (I have the same problems in games like this and total war), keep a notepad to take down notes of things that are priorities, and it can also help with going from episode to episode with reminders of why you're building X and Y on planets A and B - again this helps when I personally play games like Empire at War, Civ6, Total War, when i save a game and come back to it 3 days later and can't remember why I've done half the things I've done.

ive been playing the latest version of the mod and it is really helpful if you link up Kotas fleet with the hoth sector defence fleet you end up with bel iblis with his 3 dreadnaughts and the venator alongside any other defense ships you have in the sector

oh on bespin move the base as the fire from landing shuttles can take it out, i lured it that the hard way. But i then abondond the south and put all my efforts into taking out the BS in the north used the Hapse and hutt as a buffer till i had a fleet that was so op and had 2 or 3 defence fleets.. if you want to keep the bothens and kemino ground forces are good enough but only if you have ten stacks and expect losses each battle, the Artillery is good as long as it has a fighting screen to stop it from being hit, empire AT AT are so hard to kill until you have a good amount for fire they are op as they nearly one shot air speeders. I build up my commandos and use then to take out HV guns on planets as they can really hurt, as you ship pool is so small. You should make the 3 planets before MonCalamari as you production base and tech posts as they have a natural chock point that you can defend if worst comes to worst. try to limit yourself to 1 of each type of shipyard as they are like 500c wkly to maintain. and mon cal is best heavy shipyard as it faster production of mon cla ship and they the best ones to have IMO. the freighter is weak so keep it protected at all costs, i went with the MC80's as my frontal ship till i got the new republic.
