Does it really matter i believe that no matter how experienced you are any hacker can use tools to help them pick a target and find bugs am i right ?

If you run a tool without knowing what it does you will miss a lot :) i am very sure that about 50% of the SQLi bugs are missed because people don't pick the right SQL map parameters :)
