The new weapons not being available from the get go in soto was the main thing that killed the expansion for me well that and the fact that the story and the scenery reminded me too much about wow's shadowlands. I am so glad that the next expansion we get new weapons immediately.

How do you know we will get them immediately? And it was just one story chapter in soto before you got them.

@@LegeFles I think people are talking about two different things here. Because yes, at launch of SotO it was just one story chapter to unlock all your spec weapons for every spec. Then it was 3 months later that we got the completely new weapons. Personally, I thought the unlocked weapons was plenty to make the start of SotO really fun and I didn't at all feel like the wait for the new weapons was too long. Also, IIRC, it has been confirmed that spears will be unlocked by the very first Kodan Mastery in WoJ.

I agree. Expansions should always launch with the main new combat feature. It's how we interact with the content after all.

Tried it yesterday and thief was fun, I went with carrion stats and axe/dagger combo with spear and relic of demon queen in daredevil. WvW was fun, it didn't seem OP like elementalist or ranger but it's beta so I'm sure there's going to be plenty of tweeks. Mesmer is another really fun prof. with spears, didn't really like the engineer or guardian too much but there's time.
