I think it would make sense if the X-Gaster didn't hit with his hands, but created hands in front of him that would hit. It's just that X-Gaster, according to the canon, would never get into hand-to-hand combat. He doesn't have the experience or skill to do it.

X-Gaster could've been his own character, using the different abilities/allies to his command. Him standing still and using his hands would work best as the chracter would appear more menacing, the ult would have every xtale charcter jump the enemy, normal overwrite stuff, they do have perseverance 1 so using that as reskin can work for the character, but yeah that's what the character has to offer mostly if i remember correctly.

Ngl they could've done just a little more to make the X!Gaster skin feel more like X!Gaster than just another GT Gaster skin. Certain abilities could have been made to look like X!Gaster using the overwrite power such as the patience move making the person teleport to the user instead of the usual pulling them. But that's just my opinion, I don't know enough about game creation.

To be honest, I think having X Gaster as a playable would be better than being a skin. Like, theres a decent amount of moves they can pull from the show for X Gaster, and they can even come up with custom moves for him. Having him as a skin for another Gaster with a completely different moveset is just...weird, because all of those moves cant even be done without X Gaster using his overwrite. His ult is indeed the most disappointing, because its literally just GT Gaster's ult.

Would've made more sense if the DT attacks, as well as the SOUL powers were instead XTale characters attacks. LMB attacks: XGaster, it would make more sense if his base attacks were the spike in the middle of his hands, more specifically the floating hands around him. DT 1 - 4: XFrisk, these attacks can either be when the hands are spiked, or when they grab an enemy to toss them. Also, it would just make sense if his first button attacks were the first person he ever OVERWRITED, being XFrisk with a genocide run. Bravery: XPapyrus, shows to have AoE attacks using gaster blasters. Justice: XAsgore/XToriel, both fire magic users that is shown to be used at long range. Integrity: XUndyne, a skilled fighter that is shown to be able to move around with both herself and the spears she uses. Patience: XMuffet, uses webbing as strings and to toss/trap and enemy with it. Perseverance: XAsriel, Is shown in UV 0.7 that he can use thorns to pierce an enemy at multiple points. Kindness: XAlphys/XMTT, while XAlphys is mainly a support to XGaster, XMTT shows to eat SOULs for XGaster's goal, so either would work as some form of healing. DT 6/ULT: XOmega Flowey/OVERWRITE, the new UV intro shows XGaster Infront of a massive XOmega Flowey, which would work better than just some GT Gaster move. On the other hand, OVERWRITE would make sense as his ULT, as it is the one thing XGaster prioritizes in Xtale/UV, and could be used as a go-through of all the XTale characters in one, big attack.

Did you know in the early stages of Alternate Battlegrounds there used a be a glitch (Which I founded and named) called perma blocking, I found this accidentally while playing as XChara idk if it worked on other characters and only 1 other person knows about it and I never used it since, Im really glad it was patched before it was widely known.
