Jay is from Seattle and runs his own company in SK, so really anything goes.😂 You should check out some of his English releases. He was in 2PM for about a year I think.

Jay Park found two hiphop labels, the first one is AOMG in 2013 which is entirely Korea-based, the second one is H1ghr Music in 2017 which is more international, signing artists from both Korea and the US. H1ghr Music won Hiphop Label of the Year in 2020 or 2021, I forgot which. The label’s compilation album “Red Tape” is pretty amazing. One of the many things he’s known for is letting his artists do whatever music they want, and his labels reportedly offer the best contracts in the country in terms of profit sharing. It was one of his artists who said this, but Jay himself said he couldn’t confirm because he has not seen other labels’ contracts. I don’t know if you like GOT7, but after GOT7 left JYP, member Yugyeom went to AOMG and JB went to H1ghr Music. It is through H1ghr Music that he signed multiple US-based black artists. He invited black artists and their friends to perform at his solo tour, and brought black artists to perform in Korea. He also shouted out and donated to BLM, and wore a BLM shirt in his The Purge mv and other videos. Some people are angry at him because he wears braids. Some black KZbinrs support him and say that they don’t think what he’s doing is CA, but those KZbinrs ended up getting hate comments for disagreeing with the cancel crowd so brace yourself if you dare to not cancel him 😂 At the end of 2021 he stepped down as ceo of both AOMG and H1ghr to focus on his other activities such as his solo album, his alcohol brand Won Soju which is a traditional Korean alcoholic beverage, a 3rd label More Vision, through which he have created the MVP crew to help out dancers, and will also create idol groups.

Jay wore braids once for an instagram picture (2013-ish) and gel twists a couple of times in his 14-year career. A lot of rappers in korea have full on braids everyday for years and don't ger half the hate

@@xxhara2197 I don’t know how many times he wore them and I don’t care about that. Perhaps it is because Jay is more well known internationally and that’s how he attracted a bigger cancel crowd. Who cares about the haters, he stays winning anyway 😎

@@xxhara2197 yeah most of people in Korea wore or had looks that wouldn’t fit this 2022 era. But people also have to remind themselves that 2013 isn’t now, the woke period didn’t exists and most of these stuff really didn’t cause any trouble it was problematic if the person said some weird shit but back in 2013 most people around the world did wore more confortably ethnic looks. Like even vine or twitter was super dark humor compared to now but now people try to nitpick everything and seem to fail to differentiate when there’s an ill motive behind it. It’s also super true that a lot of artists did wore dreads which again wasn’t that « chocking back then » but what’s worse is that some of these same people did actually said some weird and racist shit and never really got the heat. Biggest examples are artists like BTS and a lot of other idols where it got swept out of the rug and ironically BTS fandom is the 1st one to try to cancel people when honestly the amounts of times where they did, said and wore problematic stuff was so much like no group has done this much weird shit and weirdly they became that popular I’ll never get that 😂 like it feels like the fandom totally ignore it when all of their weird behaviors are literally on KZbin and twitter

Song is basically about booty calls, from what I heard Korea used to have strip clubs that were located in the back of butcher shops, why, I don't know but it was a thing, 😄 no all his songs aren't like this, he does have a few other songs/ mv's along these lines but most of his music and mv's aren't like this, Korea is very conservative and wanted to challenge that push boundaries in fact Mommae is his most risqué song & mv and it's also his biggest hit, if u think this mv was risqué you probaly shouldn't watch the mv for Mommae, songs a certified banger though, Jay Park is from Seattle born and raised, grew up loving 90's hiphop & R&B, he has been involved in a number of controversies I tell people they should Google it and form their own opinion, people who have met him and people who really know him always say how good of a person he is, how he is so kind, generous and down to earth, he will do anything to help anybody he can, he does college festivals and always donates his fee back to the schools for scholarships, he does features for free and artists are constantly asking him for features and when he is asked to do a show he always brings artists from his labels and split is fee with them because he wants to give hus artists the opportunity to shine and to elevate their careers and this is one of the many reasons s why I'm such a fan of his, he owns the 2 biggest hiphop/R&B labels in Korea, AOMG a d H1ghr Music and just opened his 3rd label More Vision he is also the first Asian signed to Roc Nation he raps, sings and dances

@@kianatheintrovert ikr, when I first saw this mv some years ago, someone asked why are they in a butcher shop and I remember another commenter stated that strip clubs used to be in the back of butcher shops in Korea, I believe strip clubs aren't legal in SKorea so the butcher shop would have acted as a front.

fav reaction of “you know” ever! Pls check more of his job if you feel comfortable, I looove “Me like yuh”, “All I Wanna Do” (there’s an english audio version that I love too), “Solo” and Ganadara with IU, his last single. ps; I already knew a little about his problematic past, some things are true and there’s some things that were misunderstood like a “beef” with bts but I think ppl change and he already had (still has) a loooot of hate. I believe that he is not a bad person.

I think he’s cool & a pretty talented guy. Hope you continue to react to more of his music, pls react to “V” mv, “Me like yuh” mv & “All I wanna do” mv. Btw Jay is from Seattle.

When you go out the club, you usually go out to eat before or after. They went to gamble at the restaurant (eatery) place, which has tables, was connected to the butcher shop. This would be very convenient for the restaurant owner having a butchery being a part of the restaurant. If u find someone you like, you go somewhere to get to know one another😉😘, which is where the last added scene was. No, Jay Park has plenty other songs and videos that don't talk about that.

2nd dude is Okasian, he’s been on the super popular song « it g ma » back then when Korean rap wasn’t super popular. Jay has a lot of tats you haven’t seen the half 😂 There was no extension his hair were super long during that era. I really suggest you to check out one of his rnb songs like « all I wanna do » all the way up or aquaman where you can also see his dancing abilities. And maybe some super hard rap song he did like « worldwide x want it »

Most people twisted his word and since he said many times he prefered Big Bang ( which is an OG group he is been best friends since early 2000s) some fandom took it the wrong way and since he said that people been going at him non stop and twisting most of his word or context. Jay has been talking about rights religion and ethnicity promoting equality since a whileee way long before people pretended to be woke and shit. He been donating super discretely for many causes too for literally years too but people got mad over him saying openly his best friends were better lol. Now he did phrase himself wrongly at some point like most people do nobody is perfect but this got so much twisted people made him pass as something he’s not and twisting stuff putting words he never said just to kind of ruin his reputation which sadly kinda worked. But since he’s most idol’s idol’s and his music is so great they can’t erase him lol. Jay was in 2PM almost 15 years ago he stayed in the group only a few months and left. He is originally a bboy and singer but he always loved rap which he did way later. Since then he switches with rnb and rap and also with english and Korean since he’s American. His discography is suuuuuper long so good luck but it’s worth it lol The girl in the video is one of his close friends, they were in the same label back then when he used to be in that group and she’s also a super big superstar. ( Hyuna) Also you should put the Cc on jay always has subtitles in his songs. Also I don’t know if you paused that much because of copyright but jay owns most of his music ( except the EP he released with Roc Nation) none of his works gets striked by KZbin so there are no need for copyrighting pauses.

Yes they used to allow this in kpop. Maybe you only know new songs and new kpop? Because in the past it was okay to make mvs like this. Today's kpop is so different all of them are too young this is why they don't do the same things anymore. Honestly I prefer the old kpop when mature idols existed

i would suggest that you research deeper on what Jay Park has done and draw your own conclusions of the matter, as I am not really capable or able to speak or justify etc. on those, so Jay has been accoused of rascism, cultural appropriation, being islamophobic (I can see and understand all these things, but again can't really knowingly speak about them) and people have also been hating on him becuase of "taking hostage of kpop idols",said/ tweeted about that his favorite group is bigbang and something about not wanting to be associated with BTS (being a member / assumed to be a member) regardless, I will list of his achievments and work, as the best of my knowledge. To give off what and why people have been suggesting him and what he has done in his 12 years and counting career (since his solo, but 14 if we count his debut with 2pm) Jay is born and raised in Seattle, where he in high school joined a b-boy crew AOM in 2002(art of movement) before he came to Korea. his mom made him go to audition that was held in Seattle by JYP entertainment, where he got casted and flew to Korea in 2005 to become a trainee. He debuted in the group 2pm as a leader in 2008-2009. Due to some things he had said on myspace years prior, that got leaked (something about Korea and his experience there) and missinterpritated/ misstranslated by the media. He had to leave and return to Seattle to work in a used tire shop. And in 2010, Jay uploaded covers on KZbin, where one of the covers got 2 mill views in 24 hours. nothin' on you by b.o.b, where he added his own verse. he partnered up with a friend of his (from his b-boy crew) Chase "Cha Cha" Malone, who's tagline is "I need a Cha cha beat boy" (is in this song too) and they have been doing music ever since. He came back to Korea in 2010 and 3 years later (2013) he started his own label AOMG (Above ordinary music group / always on my grind / artist only money getters), where he could give himself and others freedom of doing their own music (something that wasn't an option in especially kpop then and from his time in kpop). Today it is one of the most popular hiphop labels in Asia. In 2017 he started his second label H1ghr Music records with Cha Cha, which took of a more global spand, as he signed artist from The US and South Korea, to bridge the gap in hiphop across Seattle to seoul. speaking of which; is a commonly used sentence in Jay's songs (Seattle 2 Seoul). That label is also one of the most popular out in Asia. furthermore in 2017 he became the first Asian/Asian-American to sign to Jay-Z' Rocknation and became a judge on Asia's got talent. *apropos most popular labels, AOMG and h1ghr have approx. around 40 artist and producers compined (not as much as the typical kpop company, but in terms of hiphop and RnB out there) indipendent labels in the khiphop/RnB commonly has around 10 (if not less)* in 2019, Jay was awarded "The game changer award" by thee smithsonian's Asian pacific center. In the end of 2021/ start of 2022, Jay park revealed that he would launch his Soju company "Won Soju", stepping down as CEO of both AOMG and H1ghr (he still is part of/ has a role of an advisor of those labels) in 2022, Jay Park launches Won Soju and starts new label/company "more vision" (it seems like it's more dance crew / dancer/performer heavy as of right now) Jay has been considered the most busy person in the music industry and you can see why it is like that. regardless of the hate he has gotten, there is no denying his work of pushing the hiphop and rnb scene in South Korea and lots of artists and idols look up to him and many got lots of stories of him having a big heart and helping his people (artist, friends, and family) on that note,Jay has since 2018 talked about retirement and most of us thought that it had happened when he stepped down as CEO of AOMG and H1ghr, but that was not the case, still, there might not be long before it really happens. He has also talked on how he might start his own kpop idol group.
