back in the 60s and 70s our country was flooded with gnostic beliefs, and Paul was afraid of this that people would distort the simplicity of Christ. Gnosticism is of the enemy, "Christ consciousness" that is all of the enemy. Christ Jesus said I AM the way, the truth and the life. Not consciousness not concepts not man's philosophy but Christ Himself and Christ alone. These new age philosophies are to keep people from Christ to elevate man and serve sin. It is the oldest problem that Eve had in the garden. This "esoteric new age" is a way of saying that there is more than Christ. There is nothing more "elevated or spiritually deep than Christ Himself. When these people add or take away from the Bible or distort the Word of God it is from the enemy. They attempt to use the enemy's lies to say there is "hidden esoteric" meaning in the Bible. That is man's way of glorifying man and not glorifying Christ Jesus. Jesus's Yes was Yes and His No was No. The only time Jesus used hidden meaning was in parables to people that didn't have ears to hear and eyes to see. These gnostic believers think they have to go out and "discover" Jesus (for man's sense of self-importance) when Jesus has already been revealed it is a way that the enemy keeps people on this wild goose chase of "searching" for Christ instead of RECEIVING CHRIST to distract people from receiving Christ. That is all these evil gnostic eastern philosophies, and the new age is about. buddah said "seek the truth" Christ said "I AM the truth" We have got to stand up against these lies of the enemy about these despicable gnostic beliefs in our country. They have flooded our churches subtly they are deceiving people from receiving Christ and bringing people to repentance because gnostic beliefs tell people that the Creator of the universe is evil and that ultimately, we are all gods born with a "divine spark" it is the most evil lie the enemy tells to convince people that the universe is an illusion and God didn't create the world and that we are good when Christ Jesus said "no man is good but the Father." It is a "feel good" religion to make man feel good about his sin to keep man from repentance it is such an evil distortion of God's Holy perfect Word. Sin shouldn't feel good it should break us to repentance and gnostic new age beliefs are accepted in every place in society. As Christians we have to stand up with the full armor of God to speak the truth to these people. And your channel is such a blessing that you are speaking out against the enemy's lies.
