I was always taught to use at least a 2 barrel/bin method when it comes to animal feed or when storing the extra dry goods for your own use. That way you're using out of 1 with the other in reserve and never end up running out but not having to dump any out

Chickens do have their own personalities!! And they have readable expressions on their faces!! I had two pet hens. One was always faster at getting treats I’d give em. The slower one gave the faster one a look. I knew what it meant. She “said” if you do that again I’m gonna kick your butt. Well she did. They were such characters! Another day one got a garden snake around her neck. The other one ran to her rescue. Typical sisters!! 💕💕🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💕💕

Yeah we have 5 gallon buckets inside for cat food and I told hubby that to. Don't refill until it's ALL gone because he wasn't doing that and about half the bucket was stale on the bottom. I could smell it when I walked into the living room! PHEW

Good day Cog Hill-ers!!!! So, on today's episode of Cog Hill Farm this fan learned about climbing pinkie roses. 🤣 I tell you every video I learn something new!! I googled that type of rose and OMG they are GORGEOUS!! I love the "aged" feel of these flowers and the photos I saw were amazing. I then googled about what "canes" are in gardening and learned that I have two shrubs at my house that I was pruning incorrect. So, I learned something new there and can't wait till the Spring to work on the correct way to deal with these shrubs!! Thank you Jason, Brooke and MC for teaching this "mature" dog some new tricks. I live in Arizona and believe me when I write I'm ready...very ready...for this summer to be over and cooler weather to begin. 😊. I miss the snow ❄️ but don't miss living in it. I do miss the fall in the areas that do get the 4 seasons. It seems where I live in Phoenix that we only get 2 seasons, summer and if you can call it thus, winter. A happy visit to Cog Hill! Loved seeing animals & Tim 'with his wife (wives?) & brood. I know they're loving the new penthouse. Savored close up time with Moody boy. Your porches are really inviting. This visit had the feel what a regular day at Cog Hill will eventually be. One of my favorite birds were Black Sumatra. I had them and they went and stayed in the brood mare barn. They loved being in there and they were so amazing to visit with every day when I took care if my mares.
