I wish the CFL, UFL, EFL, and IFL would have a 32 team playoff for a world championship in the Olympics. Also the EFL since the have ties to NFL Europe hold a preseason Exhibition in Europe with the Seattle Seahawks vs the Frankfort Galaxy. That should get the Olympics attention.

It's interesting how Madre London played incredible in this league, but then was just ok in the USFL. Between two USFL seasons, he ran for 660 yards, averaging about 4.0 YPC, with 2 TDs. Decent numbers, but I never felt was as talented as other guys like Mark Thompson, CJ Marable, Wes Hills, Matthew Colburn, or Tre Williams.
@M.Bisðn9 ай бұрын
London was facing better LB play in the USFL. Some of those guys use to be on NFL rosters, or were solid at the NCAA level. Zach Blair was on an ELF podcast about a month ago talking about how American LB experience is in demand in the ELF, whether it come from an A or E import. LB play has improved a bit since no one has been putting up numbers like Madre since.

So one can say football fan me was forged in the purple hell of Frankfurt and until this day I am a huge Galaxy fan. I love the ELF, I love the fact some of the teams from the "old" days are back (like Sea Devils and Rhein Fire). As these teams have been around since the early 90s, they now have this sort of legacy in European football, even if they are under completely different management. Also love the fact the league has home grown talent, which helps getting much more people into playing the sport, more kids to play flag football etc. In terms of TV viewership football is now the second favorite sport after soccer in Germany. So yes, we are on a good way.

For me the only problem of ELF are the Game Highlights available on KZbin. They are real bad edited and compromise the pace of the game, also compromising the viewer experience on understanding what happened on the game. For example, Surge x Fire was a hell of a game that gone OT, and they put only the game winning team OT attempt, the other one just stays in our imagination.

The only leagues I don't follow are the German and Japanese leagues. Right now as far as talent ranking The ELF is third behind the NFL, CFL and XFL although it's a toss up between the ELF and XFL. Sure, soccer is big in Europe, but there are a lot of people that also like other sports to rise.
