They took everything from diva curl and slightly changed it so it wouldn’t seem like they were just copying diva curl. That’s it. There is no other thought process into what they were doing. It was never about hair health. It destroyed my hair in many other people’s hair because it was just a bad method and a mixture of products that were not good for anyone’s hair.

I recently cancelled my subscription to their BGC. I liked the short cuts/styling tips but it started to come off as a bit experimental when they’d hop from one product to the next. I’ve been wearing wash and go’s for the past 13 years without issue. However, I always deep conditioned once a month with steam and used a leave in. When they said not too that just didn’t make sense to me. Like my grandma used to say, “ use your head for more than a hat rack.” lol

All I can say is thank you, thank you thank you. Something was always mean about them and ‘their way.’ Couldn’t put my finger on it but you confirmed my suspicions. I remember speaking in defense of people who like to do length checks because they basically said it was stupid. Isn’t that why we started to embrace our natural hair though- for health and length we had not achieved before? Well, not them. Something was terribly off.

Yeah they had a WHOLE bit on trying to make this method work with the kids for months. This was also around the time they started saying that 1 hour washdays might not work for everyone. You just can't cookie cutter this method for kids. Even regular haircare and children don't always get along 😅

Your hair is eating!!! It's beautiful. What I'm curious about is have they issued any sort of apology for how this method has damaged countless heads of hair? Even some who don't want to admit it. I mean it was said by one of them in 2018 that her ends were terrible as a result of curly cuts. I think that's why they strongly advised against stretching your hair, they knew that the damage could hide in the curls but once it was straight the gig was up! I'm glad you and rosie discovered something wasn't right. I followed both of you before you discovered the damage BGC method had done to your hair because i was nosey and wanted to know all the things about natural hair seeing that im only 3 years in the natural hair game. I love your channel and your hair!!

They took advantage of women who wanted their hair to look a certain way. 30 days to a beautiful wash n go just lime 30 days and 30lbs off with some miracle pill. It's terrible and for them to now say you need a deep treatment and cuts on blown out hair is just terrible. They were mean to women who said it was messing up their hair and to the African hair god because he called them on it. They sold a style, not caring how your hair ended up. It was a hair style not hair care. They didn't care and still don't.

I was fortunate, I deep condition once a week, always have. The AG, shampoo is good, however, it can’t be overused. I use it every five weeks, followed with a moisture poo. Always used a leave, as my hair did not feel right without one. Wash n go only, hair trimmed on blown out hair. This is so sad, what has happened to so many folks, crowns.

Unpopular opinion, but I think being a hairstylist should be a job accessible only to those with a master’s degree. Too many stylists are poorly educated and rely solely on beliefs and personal experience with their own hair and habits. ("We've always done it this way, so we won't change what's working.") But "working" doesn’t mean it’s healthy. Keratin straightening treatments "work," but the hair isn’t healthy.

The silk press before using their method looked just as damaged as the blowout after using their method. Apparently you are a body builder and body builders have poor nutrition during events. Im sure the damage was caused by that and not a shampoo…like lets be forreal girl lol.❤

But to act like her thin greasy silk press was giving Aaliyah is crazy!
