I fully agree with you regarding paying for characters that were always considered the main character. I've been saying the same thing about wanting Lei Wulong back in the game, but I think it's ridiculous that I may potentially have to pay to unlock him not once, but twice now.

There are like 50 must have characters in tekken when a 30 character base roster is already massive for a fighting game. Important characters will end up dlc solely on the basis that you can't fit them all in the base game

The DLC practice is goofy, agreed. Also I do worry about the licensed DLC, even of its free. I say this because I only developed an interest in Dead or Alive quite recently, as in AFTER Mai and a bunch of other licenced outfits and arena DLCs got delisted from DoA 5. Only way to feasibly get hold of them now is jumping a bunch of hoops and pirating, which varies from being relatively straightforward on something like the PSVita to an overpriced esoteric mess for PC (mainly as I don't have a gaming PC yet, and even if I did, I'd then need to learn how to do all the 7 seas stuff and get the delisted DLC working).

You genuinely made me laugh throughout the video, In the trailer which often gets skipped shows ogre standing near the volcano and I’d say he’ll be our 4th… the rest are either clones or trained in the Mishima style ready for sacrifice allowing Heihachi to return to life. Do agree with the pay for dlc OG characters, I really hope they don’t give him a really broken low, I love the fact he’s epic but flawed it makes him more unique.

I think developers got a thing for bringing back old heads 😂 they did it with raidou they did with bison wish they brought back gen fu but nonetheless I called it and it is what it is❤

@NateDdragon No. Clones are genetic copies. Scars wouldn't be retained. Best case, he's ressurected, but I think it's implied that he never truly died, just like Tekken 5.
