They are short. It's evolution in that part of the world, they don't need to be tall. They need to be small so they can climb trees to get fruits and different things.

Hard work and a little luck. I flew in Alaska for awhile and then spent a few years in a caravan to pad the resume. After that, I shopped around to see who wanted me.

Hi, great video, aviation skills and countryside. Maybe you mentioned this already in one of your many videos. Meanwhile I saw already some of them but it was never mentioned. However, I wonder how you, the flights and everything is going to be paid from. I assume the locals in the mountains don't have that much money to pay for frequent flights. Is there something like a Is there a state fund for this , donations or payment by UN development programs? Cheers from Germany.

Most of the money comes from government subsidies. That's really what keeps companies like these operating. International aid does fund a few operations but even they end up earning money from government programs at some point. Hope that answers your question!

I am a transport aircraft pilot in a certain country. Sorry for my poor English. I think METAR is not issued at the airfields that bush pilots go to, how do you make weather decisions? Do you use satellite imagery or communications from the field to make your decision? I am very impressed with your flight as I too love low altitude navigation in the mountains. Of course, it is dangerous and safety comes first. Thank you.
@mapsedge10 ай бұрын
Sometimes we use satellite data or other maps but usually our decision to go or not is based on weather reports from the few villages that we can hear along with a rough idea of the general conditions from the last few weeks. Generally, mornings are good but if a runway has been consistently clouded in lately, we might try to organize a flight close by to have a look at the weather. That being said, conditions can change in a matter of minutes so the most important thing we do is never treat any flight as if it MUST be completed. Coming back another day is totally fine and no cargo or passenger demands are more important than safety. Good luck flying in your "certain country" and stay safe!

I am very curios. Who is actual paying for all of these flights and the logistic? Is it mainly government "sponsored" as an essential or does it rely mainly on donations? I can find very limited information on the actual economics of these operations.
