The lesson we learn from people who usurp our value system and treat us like trash is that we leave them in our rear view mirror. Whether these people are significant others, friends or children sometimes walking away is the only option left when they have burned down that proverbial bridge. I just need to find my soul tribe, of treating people with dignity, civility and respect. Imo, you can’t have love without the above 3 building blocks that includes reciprocity.
