It feels like Fami plays most of the time, probably more than 60%, without having to look at the fretboard! She's very comfortable blending in.

Exactly. As good as Miho was as a metal bassist, I think that Fami fits in better in the band than Miho did (even though Miho co-founded the band).

Yes, it was just released, about 4 hours ago. lol. Song is from the 2nd album, Clockwork Immortality. Asami wrote the lyrics, Mao the music. This was just a fun video, seeing everyone moving all over. Even got a little of Asami on piano. The 17th , and last song, on night #2. I certainly hope their Prog Power appearance expands into a full US tour.

There are four moments in this video that get me - when Asami gets on the piano - her grin is infectious, the moment Fami and Asami join Haruna at the drumkit and Asami puts her hand on Haruna's shoulder, the M&M fist bump at the end of the dual solo, and the moment Asami chuckles as she runs to front of the stage during the last verse after the solo section. They are all so damn cute together. 🤘

so much for LOVEBITES being relatively unknown in the states as that is the only sold out day of the atlanta concert. they obviously have captured the hearts and minds of so many fans here. but please someone explain to me WHY they only have 121k subscribers. i have no words on how wrong that is.

I think part of that has to do with the YT algorithm. For all of the complaints about it, it seems to be getting more efficient and that even carries over to an account BY PLATFORM VIEWED. For example - I watch YT of 3 different platforms. I use 12 hour rain loops and free movies on my smart TV and that is what my home page shows. On my phone, I mainly use it for playlists and I see bands from my playlists on my Home Page. I do all of my reactions on the PC and I see the bands I react to, similar artists, or reaction videos on the PC. I get fed a lot of Japanese bands right now based upon my viewing. I'm going to guess that the subscriber level is probably low due to the fact that people that watch Lovebites more than once will start getting feeds for every new video they put out. This is just a theory because I see that number as ridiculously low as well and have been trying to justify it. LOL thank you very much for your comment!

I totally agree! This band fills stadiums and no one seems to notice! I'm looking forward to the concerts in Europe! I really celebrate the fact that Miyako appears and performs a little more relaxed at this concert - you can also see it in other clips, even when she comes on stage. She's such a fantastic musician and has a positive influence on so many young musicians - it's lovely to see her smile! Well, Haruna, the little big engine, is simply phenomenal! All five musicians are world class - no question about it!

Jeez, this was fantastic (no surprise). Their love of playing just permeates into this performance. I'm convinced Fami has injected her natural overall happiness into what they do. Imagine 5 yrs ago a 15-16 yr old girl started a YT channel showcasing her bass skills and now is an elite bassist with the best metal band today. No complaints before, but they have just added an extra layer to their eliteness..

So, I was thinking to myself, will Haruna do the adorable head bob, with Asami by her side? Yes, she did! And she did not just have Asami up there with her, but Fami too 😁And then I thought, will Midori and Miyako do the fistbump after their solos? Yup! This song actually gets me a little misty eyed, because you can feel the comradery up there on that stage, and the love between them and the crowd... And at 4:27 when Asami was standing by the piano, with a "hey, look what I'm doing!" look on her face 😅I love this song! ❤‍🔥

In the 2 years off stage and the baby, Miyako has become a bit more relaxed and laid back. In general you can say that all 5 missed the stage. Especially Asamie :)

To be fair, the 3rd and 4th day tickets could only be purchased as a package but Lovebites was definitely a big reason why those tickets sold out so fast. I also eventually bought a Day 2 ticket because it turned into a very strong day. Nospun is the opening band on Thursday and, in my opinion, they released the best metal debut album of 2023. Thursday also has Scar Symmetry, Leprous and Dark Tranquility, three bands I really enjoy. Twilight Force will be fun to watch. I don't know much about Northtale. It will be a fantastic 3 days in Atlanta.

Thanks for getting on this so fast. Usually this is one of their closers, and they look like they could go two more hours without a problem. The harmonized duet without solos ties in to the "United" in the title. I have tickets to Atlanta. I jumped on it when sales opened, and they were gone by the afternoon. You are right--Lovebites drove the sales for that day. I suggested to the organizers that they add Lovebites to another day of the festival--there were still four slots unfilled on days one and two--but they declined. Makes no sense.

I understand their reasoning. They emphasized the fact that Friday would be the Lovebites US debut and I am sure many people (including me) bought the 3rd/4th day ticket based on that. Lovebites was a big reason those tickets sold out so fast. I also doubt that they have ever doubled up a band in the long history of the festival. I did end up buying a 2nd day ticket because that Thursday lineup is so strong.

My hope is that any tour that is scheduled for their time in the US makes the Atlantic concert their first stop. Otherwise the promoters would have a lot of explaining to do. Either way, I won't miss the opportunity again!

@@Meshuggah726 Iron Maiden also have not announced a support band for their 5 shows in Japan which are during the last full week of September. Iron Maiden has to be considering Lovebites for the Japan tour. If Iron Maiden invites Lovebites to perform at the Japan shows, Lovebites could squeeze in a few US shows before heading back to Japan. I also think they would return to the US for Aftershock and continue a US tour from there. The odds are much lower that Iron Maiden would invite them on the North American tour but I would love it if they did, especially since I am seeing Iron Maiden in Texas. I am also going to ProgPower, so that would be a double dose of Lovebites.

Technical note, your video is reversed. On top, it doesn't matter. However, because the guitarist are normally panned left and right, it can get confusing. I notice you like Haruna.
