No one doesn't the mystical as well as Korea. With such a vibrantly rich mythological history it's not surprising that so many wonderful shows can be created - some of my favourites are: Mystic Pop Up Bar, Hotel de Luna, Oh my Ghost, Tomorrow, Sell Your Haunted House, Black, Uncanny Counter, and a couple others but these are at the top even though as usual all of them have sad stories and/or endings which is why I don't watch these shows that often ... I have enough sadness in RL to deal with so watching shows that are sad is hard. Overall, despite the sadness pretty much every demon/ghost/underworld type shows I've watched from Korea (with a few Thai mixed in) are just simply fantastic, other countries just can't come compare in the least. The US is good at some "myth" stuff (Eureka, Warehouse 13, etc) but they prefer the gory horror stuff which I can't stand to watch; the UK and Japan does thrillers which at least are far more tolerable (The Others comes to mind as 1 of the better shows); China sadly doesn't allow for "magical type shows" ... they focus on Demon/Heaven/Rebirth stuff with the occasional mythological creatures such as mermaid/mermen, deities, the occasional ghost/spirits, and dragons (which not going to lie is pretty good as well) ... but there are times you want a good modern day occult show to watch and only Korea (and the few I've seen from Thailand) can satisfy that. I didn't know they made a season 2 of the show and there's no info about it on when I checked the site I watched S1 at although it did say S2 was supposed to have aired in 2023 so I'll have to look for it now, hopefully it answers some of the questions left behind in S1. I also saw some posts that they made a spin-off that focuses on his half-brother's life after he's left alone on the mtn, as well as an animated series though not sure where it fits into the story or who it focuses on. Though I wouldn't say Tales of Nine Tailed (this show), and it's not as good as some of the other shows I've listed, it's still a good watch overall, and IMO the recap really doesn't do the series justice. The recap explains a lot of things but also leaves some important things out, so my suggestion is to watch the 16 episodes for yourself if you're really interested in knowing the full extent of what's what.

This is the best reply I've seen on here. The tale of the 9 tailed has great mythological story points but the show itself is slow and not interesting as the shows you've listed. Cheers for the info about the spin-off and anime- I'll look into it and see if it's worth watching. Have you seen the K-drama My Demon? I got hooked onto that. I have Hotel De Luna on My List on Netflix. I'll give it a go to.
