When this came out, I was absolutely mesmerized by them. It was 1987, and the first time I heard a Bee Gees song. I was eleven. The Bee Gees can do no wrong where I am concerned. And their vocals... wow. My fave songs of theirs are Night Fever, Jive Talkin’, When He’s Gone.

Yes such a distinctive drum beat, you can't mistake that intro. Incredible song writesrs and singers. So many fantastic hits. We were so lucky growing up at the same time as the Bee Gees.

The intro is actually trash cans closing and when writing the album they added the sound.

This was according to some sources the very biggest hit in Europe in 1987, but it only reached a sad 75th in the US due to the radio boicott. What a wonderful song from a wonderful group ❤️

No percussion- Maurice said in interviews he created the stomps & percussion-like sounds in his garage, but wouldn’t say how. And Barry said in an interview that the chorus came to him in a dream. Love this one!

Extraordinary smashhit, this one! Nearly everywhere on the earth. But shame on US, so it's been ignored there. The stomp was produced by Maurice in his garage and found it's way into the recorded version. Another great banger is 'Paying The Price Of Love'.

Yup, Mo banging garbage can lids in his Miami garage. And then the record company executives hated it and wanted the "stomps" taken out. Mo said good thing we didn't listen to them.

Many of their songs focus on the falsetto and yes, those head voices are very specific for your style. But they also have beautiful chest (regular) voices, so it's always great to hear those in songs as well. I mean, Barry has a 5 octaves range.

Guys, BG’s wrote hits since 1953... The BEST of the BEST... you Have almost 50 years of music to listen,... With of course all FEVER songs, but GEMS, like Words, I started a joke, I could you mend a broken heart, Nights on Broadway, Lolipops, Massachussets, To love somebody, I love you inside out, Alone, Islands in the stream, Jive Talking,I got a message to you, Fanny,Tragedy and hundred more... ..!! The BG’s is the ONLY band in the world which had 5 consecutive # 1 on the charts... Not EVEN the Beatles did..!!! Barry Gibb wrote for Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rodgers, Céline Dion,Dionne Warwick and many many more...!!! There is HOMEWORK here..!!! The BG’s were/are (cos Barry Gibb still..!)COLOSSAL LEGENDARY ICON of music..!! They deserve FAR FAR better... Their harmonies were magical, and Barry Gibb Falsetti were nothing but out of this world...!!! BG’s wrote 3 HUGE 70´ hits for their younger bro Andy Gibb : Shadow Dancing, I just want to be your everything, and Thicker than water... COME ON..!!! They are LEGENDS of music..!!! 💎💎💎💎💎💖💖💖🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

My top three?! They wrote around 1000 songs 😂I do have a top 2, though. 1. Be Tender with My Love - Oh, so many reasons. Considered their masterpiece for good reason. 2. Nights on Broadway - one of the disco songs, but I love it because you get to experience more than just Barry out front and the others backing him up. It shows the skills and talents of Robin and Maurice very well (which are equal to Barry's as they all three could sing from baritone to falsetto easily). 3. Tie between - You Win Again, How Deep is Your Love, To Love Somebody, I Started a Joke, Run to Me, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart...

I love this song but the only part I like about the video is when they show the Bee Gees. If you have a chance watch the documentary it is unbelievable. I am 60 so I grew up with the Bee Gees and the only reactors that I listen to are those that react to Bee Gees songs. I think music today is crap sorry but it is. 70s music was the best!! These guys have been singing together for 50 years they wrote over 1000 songs and they were the only group in history to have five of their own songs in the top 10 billboard chart.❤️
