I have few far relatives living in there. They have no connection with current government either. I think you should contact the Afghan embassy in Afghanistan 🇦🇫, they may be able to assist.

Brother in Mazar-e-sharif. Most people are tajiks and dont speak pashto. Thats why u get ignored sometimes. In northeren and westeren Afghanistan, people speak Farsi rather than pashto. Im from Mazar-e-sharif myself
