yes Tara it is called a jumbo garlic head and you let it grow because they get bigger then that and if watch acre homestead you should only be harvesting the garlic scapes and make garlic powder out it not the stem

Just a thought guy’s, I mean I know y’all probably lay down boards and pieces your not going to use in between your good boards as they’re drying but how about next or each time you go into town or wherever you shop looking behind strip malls at their dumpsters or ask the big box stores if there’s a bunch of pallets you can get to throw in the back of the truck to bring home to lay all your different lumber on. It will at least keep it off the ground and whenever each pallet starts to rot you can just burn it to get rid of it. I don’t know if this would be a help for you guy’s but just seems so. Then you can just lift it with the tractor to move your good wood to the building site. Just a thought guy’s. I do know it’s hot out there!! Y’all don’t get too hot!!

Tara, from experience, you will want to dehydrate the onion far away from where people are 😂, neighbors complained big time last year and I love the smell.

Good thing our neighbors aren’t close enough to complain. Lol. May have to find a spot outside though. Don’t want the house permanently smell like garlic all the time

You can use those cut off as siding on rustic buildings or animal structures. If you debark it and put ting oil on it it will look good and last for a long time .

Jason, Use the cut-off lumber and make a rack for the cut offs...we use one here in Maine from smaller trees that we cut down for the trangular frames...all we use are three frames triangulars, , then we used pumber strapping to create large loops to hold the cutoffs....works great and keeps the cutoffs off the ground.
