There’s honestly enough good aftermarket parts out there for the AD20.5 at this point that all you would need to do is buy all the parts and then just wait until the steel you want comes out and buy it. Then you could build Excalibur for yourself. That sounds like a really cool video to me. 🤓

I've modified all 3 of mine - Aus10A , D2 (which I gun blued the blade) , and the Ti 3V where I anodized the titanium scales and aftermarket standoffs - the first two have G10 scales now

Original GOAT makes both aluminum and titanium scales for the grivory Taiwan made version of the 20.5 and they’re excellent. They come in like 4 or 5 patterns and whatever cerakote color you like. Backspacers as well. They make the 20.5 feel like an original 20, just scaled down. Plus it’s only about 100$ for the mods so between that and the cost of the knife itself you’d still spend way less than half the cost of the ad for basically the same feel and performance. 10/10 recommend.

I've been carrying the ad 20.5 for well over a year now first the grivory and aus 10 a variant which has been absolutely awesome had to sharpen it once and kept it stropped bout once a week . So everyone dogging the steel I think is full of it . I've put it to hard use this last year at work doing everything from cut hose and conveyor belt material to opening 20 50 lb bags of salt for water softener treatment daily to using it as a gasket scrapper . So all you cardboard ninjas and letter and package swordsmen complaining about it not being any good your full of it . Bought the 3v and ti variant in drop point the night they dropped on knife center and have had it in my pocket everyday since and honestly it's perfect only issue I've had is I rolled the edge but it was from serious abuse removing a 300 psi gasket from a natural gas valve that had been put in place with permatex . Honestly in my opinion the ad20.5 is the perfect do anything thing knife the size the action the fidget the durability it is quiet simply the best over all knife on the market and I can't wait for a cruwear ti variant because I might never buy another knife ...lol

Couldn’t agree more. I have the grivory aus-10 version and it’s my first. I’m looking at the Ti 3v right now. These could very well be my exit knives. I sold my Hinderers and CRKs. These AD20.5s are the heat.

I'd only pay the $375 if this thing came in 10v. Plus I'm also wondering about the quality of heat treatment there just isn't enough time or information about this Taiwanese extension of demko yet. I mean spyderco's taichung stuff is pretty good and up to par so idk maybe they might be doing something right. I definitely wouldn't trust something out of china I just simply refuse to deal with Chinese products especially when I'm spending big $$$. I do enjoy my SOG terminus xr though so I guess I'm kind of a hypocrite.

@@jimmycricket7946 tiawan has a rich history of quality cutlery . Through out the knife world . And I'm pretty sure demko probably using the same Taiwanese oem that made his design for cold steel over the last 2 decades so heat treat shouldn't be a concern

@@baloneylorddonkeyhammer2273 yeah. Idk I been on the fence about it. I'm hoping for a price drop but that's probably wishful thinking. Maybe they'll come out with a cruwear or k390 soon enough that would be nice. I'm gonna need a dlc coated blade with these high alloy tool steels though because I live in a hot humid environment. But yeah if I do end up buying it I'm definitely going with the frag textured titanium scales I'm just not settling for less. But the price is climbing up it's at $375 now at knife center and dlt trading, that's kinda insane. Idk now but by Christmas I'm either getting this in 3v ti or another pm3 but this time in maxamet.

Then they brought out the 20.5 in D2 at KC so I bought a shark’s foot. I was really enjoying it and a few weeks later they brought out the 3v blades. I didn’t jump on the first batch and regretted it after they were gone. So they restocked and I got the titanium shark foot. A week later I got a 3v clip point in grivory. Hope we see some more exclusives to come. In the DLT group I swear I saw talk of an upgraded exclusive months ago and the 2 steels mentioned were xhp and I think s35vn. I would really like to see them with titanium too but even if they did just g10 and or cf. Knifecenter has the factory G10 and CF scales now but I would like to see exclusives with these pivots. I got both blade shapes when these 3v ti dropped and I got a set of natural G10 and CF to put on the k110 exclusives. I have yet to install the scales on either though along with the ti standoffs. I kinda want to get the DLC 3v knives now. I would like to see KC get some more ti with DLC 3v blades and all the hardware black too that would be awesome. Maybe some more blade shapes in the future too know they do more with the full size ad20 even if its mostly customs but even with the MG stuff like the AD20s I have all 3 blade shapes they have offered with the 20S so far. I have one of the 204p drop points there was the m390 ones from Knife Joy too not sure if any of the other exclusives were the Knifecenter Elmax were all sharkfoot I think and then the s45vn DLT I think was all sharkfoot too.

@@wecanjump7512 I just think KC got the first batch of them. I watched the KC Video right before Bladeshow. And a few video interviews with Demko and as far as I understand the Ti AD20.5 will be more available towards autumn. I really do hope it's not a KC exclusive, cause limiting the Ti 3V version to the US market alone, wouldn't be the best business move.

Glad KC made sure we could all do some bushcrafting with our 20.5s 🥴. I can't imagine anyone wanting this in 4V or 20CV, or like, any other premium steel 🤡.

Just lost all interest in the timascus version "made in tiawon" for $900 is a shame. If it was made in the US id be all over it. Guess imma go with the timascus Sharp By design mino evo SE in damasteel

Maybe it's a location thing, but I'm not even seeing a "sold out" spot for the Demko 20.5 in titanium. Not one. This is with following the links and doing a search on my own. And I know how to dissect a website search engine, as I used to work for Amazon doing just that.

They are long gone. Usually they put discontinued up even if they aren't really discontinued just sold out. They had a 2nd batch come in here a couple weeks ago and they sold out too. The sharkfoot stuck around a while the 2nd time around. I have had mine since the beginning of June.

@@JesseLJohnson Oh okay. That makes sense. In a way, I guess you just have to be lucky to catch something like this, and when you have the money at the time too. Thank you. I really appreciate your reply. I was really trying to understand.
