Hi Chad, it shocks me that Americans feel it’s necessary to carry weapons at all times. I’m from England and love walking in the countryside. I never ever feel the need or think about carrying a weapon to protect me. That’s not just me, in fact the majority of Europe feel exactly the same way. There is absolutely no reason to carry a weapon. I don’t think Americans are any different to Europeans or British people. It’s terribly sad that it’s got to the situation in America, where you even have think about it. What is it that Americans have an unhealthy obsession with weapons. It just seems crazy.
@9252LIFE6 ай бұрын
America was built on some very important rights that help keep America/Americans free and not ever able to be controlled by a communist government. It’s why America is so great. We the people given the right to bare arms helps keep our country free from government control. If you look at actual real data/statistics most gun related and non gun related crimes happen where gun rights have been taken from the people. A criminal with think twice before robbing an armed citizen but not think at all about robbing an unarmed one. And now our country has let in Millions of unknown illegal immigrants into our country not knowing who they are or their intent. I don’t ever want to be the victim that afterwards said “only if I had a firearm”… I will do whatever it takes to protect myself and my loved ones. Even if carrying an uncomfortable firearm on me all day everyday. It’s no different than having a fire extinguisher in your home. If there’s a fire you’ll be glad you had it. If teachers of these terrible school shootings had been carrying a weapon, there’s a very much better chance that more of the children that had fallen victim to these crimes would have been saved.. You just simply cannot take away firearms from law biding citizens making them weak because the criminals will always have them! And criminals target the weak!

@@9252LIFE Thanks Chad for your passionate response. But Britain is under threat from countries like Russia, just as much, if not more than America. But we and Europe would much prefer to not have the gun laws America has. I really think the media propaganda has a great deal to do with how some Americans feel. We can’t comprehend the constant threat to our schools, Malls, churches and simple daily life, without worrying about a mass shooter on the loose. It’s completely unthinkable. It should never be a way of life to live in a civilised, advanced country like America with the constant worry of someone with a gun. Guns are not a priority and should never be, over the safety of a child, simply going to school. It’s completely alien to us. We have the same films, video games , same mental health issues as America. So it’s got nothing to do with cultural differences. The one big difference is and I know you won’t agree with me is the NRA and its power over the government. They finance and influence far too much in American politics. They spread the fear of not owning a gun in America. We might have different opinions Chad, as regards guns but aside that, I really do love your posts. I think your family are fantastic and that’s down to you and your fabulous wife. I just wanted to show there is a much more peaceful way of life without having millions more guns than you have people. It’s just weird 👍

Depending on the person, I prefer something less combative like "I believe it would be irresponsible not to be prepared" and then be ready to follow up with a comparison they would understand like seatbelts in case of a car crash or fire extinguisher in case of a fire. They all have risks, but when used properly, they all save lives. If they argue, ask them to explain why school buses don't have seatbelts.

In commercial aviation, we constantly (or should be!) practiced for emergencies, engine out, fuel starvation, single engine operation in a twin, system failures, medical conditions, pop up weather or clear air turbulence, on and on. I taught this attitude too as a Certified Flight Instructor of single and multi- engines and instrument. It applies to our world on the ground too. Even something as simple as knowing where the fire extinguisher is, checking its capacity and currency, knowing how to use it. The old BSA motto will serve you well, “Be Prepared!’ Like someone said before me, you have 7 reasons to be vigilant. ‘Nuff said!

Switch to an index finger safety or back to a 90°.... I quit running a 45° for almost that exact same reason. Too easy to disengage. I also have a Glock PCC from MechTech that I stopped using for brush patrols until I made a kydex trigger guard cover with a tether that attaches to a belt loop... automatically pulls off when shouldering. Also automatically pulls off with brush... which brings me to another point... clear those small "snap, crackling, and popping" branches out of your patrol routes so you don't have to worry about giving yourself away while sneaking around. Edit to add... You can also add a little 1/8 plug of something into the bottom of your grip hole under your detent spring to make it stiffer too.

The mil spec 90 was a bit of a pain to flip on and off. But if I can’t get this one down I’ll definitely have to change things up a bit. And I have certain quiet routes that I use for deer hunting but quiet routes could be used against me too.
@willyoung45126 ай бұрын
@9252LIFE you can also lighten the milspec 90 tension up by drilling the grip hole out just a bit at a time until you get it just where you want it.

Try moving your pistol to your chest or armpit and hanging the rifle on your right hip. It's just as fast to get to and you don't have a big ole thing flopping out in front of you and the weight of it shifts back a bit. You can hold it still with your right hand when running. Atleast I find it more comfortable and something that's easy to overlook if you're used to carrying a pistol on your hip.
@9252LIFE6 ай бұрын
The reason for the pistol on the side is because it’s attached to a complete battle belt setup that I train with separately at time. It’s nice to toss that in my car when traveling to certain areas. The pistol is actually very stable especially with the leg strap. I was considering tossing my Hellcat on the chest area of my plate carrier but think I’m going to put an additional 3 mag placard up there. I feel if I ever run out of ammo in a real gunfight, that’d be it for me.

One of the shocking things for me is how hard it is to do things with a plate carrier and a radio. Especially the mag carriers on the front. Everything catches on slings. If you went out expecting to get into something without ever having worn this stuff you would be in for such a surprise. I actually love 45 or 60 degree safeties, for the 90 I have to break my grip. In the end though I'm still hoping the Lord comes to get us before things get to that point..

@MrWorldasmaya4 ай бұрын
As a 2A supporter - it's really short-sighted to view 2A rights as ordained by God. That is simply not true. 100% Not True. Why does it matter? Because in society rights, what is and isn't allowed, is dictated by, if you're lucky, the majority of the citizenry - doesn't mean such is always correct nor that one has to agree with all of it but such is the price for living in, again, a society. The ONLY mechanism to restrict 2A is to start believing that these are not rights that need to be advocated for or that you don't operate within a system, that you're somehow 'above the fray' because your belief your 'right' isn't derived from humans but it's "given to you by God".

I disagree with you. Training by yourself will greatly increase your skills when true challenges happen. It is what makes you have a natural fast instinctive reaction such as your draw and quick sight picture. And by walking your terrain learning your gear and your athletic ability will help so much in a defensive scenario. But yes paintball and MilSim is definitely great for training. Like I said in the video, “IF” anything ever were to happen. And don’t be sad because shooting and training for a something I enjoy. You take care as well. Have a great weekend!
