Including Amsterdam, most developed countries view American poIice as hostile, aggressive, and trigger-happy compared to their own respectful and principled poIice officers, relatively speaking. I lived in Europe for 14 years. Mostly in Germany, they will beat your ass if they have to. So, your assessment of it has to be an undeveloped country is bs. If you get too disrespectful or do certain things, they will handle you. Mostly with a baton, they won't shoot you like the US and other countries. But they will lay hands on you . You were correct as far as them using a gun. But they will beat your ass if they have to. They don't have to adhere to American laws in other countries either. I've literally seen the polizei beat people involved in a fight with a baton to break up the fight. Every cop over seas isn't going to be nice either.
