I’ve played Genshin since Childe’s first banner. Enjoyed it a year into it, to the point it became an addiction. And when people say that “once you swipe once, it’s REALLY difficult to stop”, because after that first swipe, it gets a very toxic cog in your brain to start turning that is HARD to stop. It’s gotten to the point where I DESPISE genshin… but I can’t let it go due to the money I’ve spent in it. It’d be like putting your life savings on a SINGLE open bet that doesn’t close (exaggeration ofc to prove my point), and the SECOND you walk away from it, that is like throwing away money you spent, making that money worthless. I feel handcuffed to the game and it gives me so much anxiety it blows. Wuthering Waves’ combat is so satisfying to watch I can only imagine how it feels to play (didn’t apply for the first CBT, attempted to sign up for the 2nd, but didn’t get in). And IF combat gets stale, the story will be what hooks me. What good is a combat system if there isn’t a good story to use it alongside it? I honestly just want Wuthering to take me away from the handcuffing that is genshin and not make me feel as bad about leaving. Due to the shit I did to myself on genshin I’m gonna only go for characters I like and not give a shit about meta, bc doing that before only made shit worse. These 7 days cannot end faster I stg lol

Tof is still regularly updated and Ive played the game since launch.. never once had issues that werent related to me running the game on an hdd lol Also am an f2p player and get plenty of gameplay enjoyment out of it. Its definitely not the best game, its pretty far down tbh. It's got decent end game, some of which actually requires knowing mechanics over just slapping it with a whale in the party. I'm hoping for the best for WuWa, I want it to succeed as much as it can without having the covid buff

As a Global PGR player, no matter how much you spend on the game and how maxed out is your character, if you can't dodge, parry or protect yourself from attacks and you get stun-locked by mobs or boss, you die and it's great tbh. Knowing that no matter how much you spend, but if you have skill issues, you get clapped easily. I know Kuro Games will do the same on WuWa. So hyped for this game ❤️

Welp I guess I am unique in this. Cause I play HSR constant and try to max out my rewards for it all the time. I also just like how relaxing it is to farm materials. Also it is a fair argument to say when they have nothing to do they will drop it...cause I did that with Genshin. After Inazuma I dropped the game cause it was way too boring for me. But I guess that is just me. Edit: That sweet spot was essentially saying being a hardcore player.😂 You like it to be challenging so you want to play more. Hardcore players on competitive games are guess what... competitive. They want to prove they are netter than others. Elden ring's choose your difficulty doesn't exist. Overleveling will not make it into animal crossing. Way too easy for anything. But Malenia Blade of Miquella is gonna be hard no matter what. Learning the patterns and learning the dodge timings makes it easier, not the level.

I played TOF when it came out, when exploration was locked behind timers and when crow jump glider spamming was the meta. I stopped before nemesis banner ended and I can confidently say that I never experienced any bugs, the servers always had tons of people, 20 guys sitting in front of one of those mini boss guys that respawn every 5 minutes for hours, just to farm for a part for the horse mount. Only reason I dropped the game was because exploration was locked behind timers, as I said before.

When I started my Honkai Account my Genshin basically rottet away... Now, I have a diff. view of genshin. At this point Genshin is the wish version from Honkai for me. I've been in the WW subreddit for a while now, just a bit after the game was announced, and most, if not all, of the people are from PGR. oh the ToF guy. i quit playing ToF but i still somewhat like the combat and i even got skins. but it was powercreeping so fast, im frost main there...also light spender. from experience, wuthering waves start of the game compared to ToF start of the game...wuthering waves feels better no offense. also i still play genshin, c6 itto r2, zhongli c2 r1, and i do have all the other geo limited characters at c0 geo supremacy and 36 star all the abyss of fontaine. the start of genshin u get basically keaya, lisa, barbara. sorry but the start characters clunky especially lisa. but noelle and geo traveler okay, one of the reasons i main geo. had a bad first year saving up for 5 star was a pain, the longest i hoarded premos is start of sumeru, i took a break and came back for fontaine and still had 180k primogems and 80 limited fates don't mean to flex :P then i c6 my itto so im broke now. i still like genshin, and wuthering waves switch cancel and all the mechanics, i like the combat more. also every story including wuther waves, absolute skip. skip genshin story and maybe go watch some else play the story :U for me, i really don't understand people that like stories. probably a bunch of people that got a lot of time on their hands

All this is well and good, but Ratsu forgot one key component that's gonna slow down both WuWa, Genshin, and pretty much every other game out there within a month, for at least 2 months. Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring. WuWa is undoubtedly getting people hyped, and it's no secret that we all love the parry and dodge system. SotE is being massively awaited however, and focuses around that combat with a massive playerbase, some if not most in the 16+ category being fans of both. Am i gonna play WuWa still afterwards? Of course i am. It's a good game that receives continuous updates, so what we're gonna see is the waterslide effect. We have a high ramp now, things are gonna drop for awhile, and every bump and ridge that slide has could be equated to content updates. Players are gonna come back for the updates, same way we do with HSR and other games, and casuals will fade out and back in with each update. What WuWa has however, is replayability factor DUE to that immersive combat system. It feels good going out there and just fighting things for the sake of just doing it versus Genshin who makes it feel like a back and forth skill swap chore; so WuWa also has retainability factors for those who flat out just like combat and parkour with an anime waifu/guyfu with no reward except being able to say something like "I kicked those lv 120 twin heron's ass at lv 50 all on my own".
