This is actually my favorite pet movie cause it shows that pets do their own thing when we're not around. The ending always makes me cry cause I love seeing the reactions of the dogs owners coming home. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and I love all of them.

You know this is a animation movie. Set up a camera and watch. Pets dont do much. Dont humanize animals. They dont have the abillity for the structure of thinking like humens. No one can picture what emotions animals have and how they work. They have no ability for cumunication in anyway possible.

The cast of this movie is incredible. Louis CK as Max, Hannibal Buress as Buddy the dachshund, Kevin Hart as Snowball the bunny, Harrison Ford as Rooster, Dana Carvey as the old dog Pops, Albert Brooks as the eagle Tiberius, etc. And no, the voice of the Gidget the Pomeranian is Jenny Slate, who voices Tammy from Bob's Burgers, Bellweather from Zootopia, and a bunch of other things.

If I remember right from back in the day, Duke is a brown Newfoundland. Newfies are MASSIVE fluffy dogs, and sweet as hell. Probably not the best apartment dog, but whatever, it's a cartoon.

Oh! And for that early question you had... I'm a cat person. Dogs are cute, but most of them are soooo dumb. Which is cute...when you don't own them and have to deal with the mess they made because they did something stupid. 😆Cats may be snooty assholes at times, but I kind of like being less of a master and more of a servant. It's kind of funny. Though, my last cat had been brought to me by a neighbor a little too early, where he was weaned and could eat solid food, but wasn't psychologically ready to leave his mother, so I think he thought of me more as his mama than his human peasant. He was still demanding, though. lol

This is such a cute movie! I enjoyed it quite a bit. ❤. The sequel is cute but not as much. I’m an animal person in general. I personally have 2 cats but in the past have had dogs,pet squirrels, birds, turtles, and a raccoon when I was younger. I just get along with animals really well.🤷🏼‍♀️

But I've only had one bad experience with a cat and have had a lot more. I have 4 fifteen year old cats right now. They're part siamese, so they all are talkative and love attention.

11:19 I actually wanted to have a pet falcon, but the laws of my country require very specific conditions, like having a hunting licence, since you have to let them hunt. Also I have read that you cannot have rescues, since they are predators and can cause harm to neighbors' property (and neighbors themselves, and you for that matter); you could only have them since they hatch and I don't think that's fair for the animal, it should be free as long as it can.

Grown up with cats, dogs, and snakes. Gotta say, I'm a dog and snake person. I love dogs for their visible affection towards you and playing with them. My first dog as an adult saved my life when I rescued her and then she rescued me (cliché, I know, but I found out out it's true). Then I like snakes for the exact opposite reason, their lack of high energy and "playing" with them is almost always on my terms. Handling them is a very relaxing, almost meditative process. The snake is as calm as I am, so it's literally mind over matter when handling these beautiful reptiles. If I'm shaky, fast, nervous, and full of anxiety, the snake will sense that through my movements and breathing. But staying calm, smooth, and breathing as easy (or easier) than normal keeps them as chill as I am. Plus regularly handling them is VERY important in making sure they associate people with things like handling in a positive way. Caring for them (once they're adults and their setup is maintained) is very easy.
